"Dad, don't worry. It's going to be fine," Hoseok pat his father's back, trying to be positive himself. He softly chuckled, "You know I've been anemic my whole life, it's just that. I'll get better, just like everytime."

His father's lips trembled in fear, remembering his wife. He hugged Hoseok, afraid to let go, "You will get better, son."

Dedicated to and in the loving memory of winterlunium. She was a very kind person and always willing to help others through their tough times. I truly looked upto her and appreciated her book that imparted great knowledge regarding depression and other mental health issues. Her book had tremendously helped me and impacted my life positively, and even does to this day. I forever remain grateful and I wish I could have had the chance to openly show her my appreciation. But, I was a little too late. Wherever she is, I hope she is happy and knows that she's terribly missed by everyone who came across her or her books.

Rest in Peace, Taiyin.

Disclaimer

This is purely a work of fiction and any resemblance to persons, events or situations are absolutely coincidental. This work, in no way, intends to harm anyone's sentiments or beliefs.

A Trigger Warning has been provided in the start to help readers understand what they can expect, so in-case you feel you might be affected due to personal reasons or experiences, please refrain from reading.

I am not a medical professional at all, my knowledge isn't 'perfect' or 'complete' and any events or situations here are not the ultimate truth, or in complete alignment with reality. You must understand there are a lot of characteristics to an illness which varies from person to person and affects their outcome, positively or negatively.

This story is more focused on the life after diagnosis. It does not revolve around the sickness but around the life spirit, emotions and relations. Do not expect cent percent accuracy or complicated medical terms because there won't be any. And also because, I am not well-versed in that area (feel free to laugh).

Due to the sensitivity of the topic, personally and in general, please refrain from making any offensive statement(s). Any negative comments or unconstructive criticism will be deleted.
