Divine Move

THIRTY FOUR

Tanya was lost for words. She looks away.

Silence.

Yangcha nods stiffly.

"I will .. go then ..."

Tanya looks away, then nods awkwardly. She could see the warrior leaving but couldnt make any move.

Alone, Tanya clutches her chest.

She can't shake that dreadful feeling. 

He was there?

How old was he then?

He had blood on his hands even at a young age.

Yangcha ...

Tanya woke up feeling tired. She couldn't sleep much.

Ayame is wide awake dressing her brother on the opposite end. Riku waves at Tanya.

"Tanya, the men left awhile ago. They will try to check on my mother and brother." She sounds hopeful. Tanya felt guilty as she was not able to help with the dreams.

"Oh .." It means she won't see Yangcha today.

"Did he say ..." she stops herself. Of course he can't speak to others!

Ayame looks concernedly. "Tanya?"

"It's ok. I will talk to him when they come back." She smiles to cover her unease.

It wasn't helping that Eunsom came.

"Tanya, there is another meeting with the tribe leaders today. You are invited to join."

She looks guiltily at Eunsom. Should she tell him? He might really kill Yangcha this time.

She nods, not looking at him directly.

There was tension in the air. Obviously the topic has raised different opinions  for all. Mirosool decides to point out facts.

"It's obvious those men are bandits. They have no allegiance what so ever with anyone. Right now some of them are wanting to join us. Do you agree?"

"After they tried to kill us?!" A few voice shriek in anger.

"What if they are spies?" Someone exclaims.

"We cannot deny refuge if they seek that," the elder man says.

"They can certainly add up to our number. We need all the help we can get." Another speaks.

"Tanya Niruha, Xabara ... what are your thoughts on this issue?" The elder man inquires on silent females.

"They have to prove their loyalty," Xabara answers fast. "Loyalty determines how far they will go with the tribe."

Tanya sigh. "These are mens' lives we are talking about. We cannot force them to follow. We are not like Tagon. We cannot be .. "

Most of the people nod in agreement. Eunsom grins. "I have an idea ..."

The bandits stand wary as they were untied and kept waiting at the center of the assembly hut.

Tanya walks infront of them. They look at the proud lady.

"Do you know who I am?" Tanya looks at them frostily. Most nod.

"You attacked me the other day. You, have angered me. Do you know what I am capable of?"

Some nod nervously.

"I can curse you and even the generations to follow! I will seek guidance to the Gods. Then you will know your fate." She says coldly.
