Chapter 10 California

Ashlin's POV

I woke up to Darby shaking me to get up. "Ugh, 5 more minutes." I moaned.

"Ok then, but no waffles for you." she said.

"I'm up, I'll be down in a minute." I said. I love the waffles she makes, she puts chocolate chips in them and buys this amazing syrup. I walked downstairs and the boys were at the table. Thankfully there were plenty of waffles left, I sat down and got two waffles and drenched them in syrup.

"Looks like somebody's hungry." Niall laughed.

"I don't want to hear it Horan, you eat way more than I do." I laughed. He mouthed 'Well then' to me and I started laughing.

"Well we dont have to leave for another 5 hours, so what do y'all want to do?" Darby asked.

"Well, I was thinking that we could all go and walk around the park." Liam suggested.

"That sounds fun. Ashlin?" Darby asked.

"Sure." I answered trying to swallow my waffle.

"Ok we will be back in a half hour. Will you two be ready by then?" Liam asked. We nodded our heads and they walked out.

We had just finished getting ready, Darby had on purple skinny jeans, a neon green v-neck, and orange TOMS. I had on bright blue shorts, a grey tank top, and white sandals. The boys came over to pick us up and they looked amazing. Liam drove us to the park and it was practically empty. Liam, Darby, Harry, and I all ran for the swings. Louis, Niall, and Zayn raced for the slides. Then Louis ran back to the car and got out Nerf guns. We each got one and started shooting.

Darby's POV

"Shouldn't you be afraid of guns?" Louis smirked.

"No and I'm gonna kick your asses. Me and Ashlin against you five, sound good?" I laughed.

"You're on!" he laughed. Ashlin and I ran to a hiding spot and I could see the boys scrambling to find a spot. I could see where they all hid. First person out was Liam, he didn't want to shoot Ashlin and he had her cornered so she shot him. Next out was Harry, I got him while he was walking around a small pond. Then Niall, he just walked out in the open and I shot him. Louis shot Ashlin and got her out, right as he shot her I shot him, getting him out. Then it was just Zayn and I left. I went went to the meadow where Harry took me and waited. I was walking around the tree and Zayn tackled me.

I started laughing uncontrollably, "I'm pretty sure tackling isn't allowed." he was still on top of me, laughing.

"What are you talking about? There's no rules in Nerf."

"Oh I see, but you know I'm still not dead right." I laughed and flipped him over. My knees were on both sides of his waist and I was pinning his shoulders down.

"Woah, no fair. You're stronger than I am." he laughed and got his hands free. He grabbed my waist and started tickling me. I started laughing and he pushed me onto the ground. He grabbed my hands and put them up over my head and his legs were on both sides of my waist. "That's how you pin somebody."

"Meanie." I pouted trying to wiggle out of his grip. Then he leaned down and kissed me, he let go of my hands and I put them around his neck. In my head I was thinking 'Why am I doing this, why am I kissing him?' but I didn't want to let him go, he finally pulled away.

"I didn't know you had your tongue pierced." he smirked and got up. He helped me up and pulled me in for another kiss. This time more passionate, he pushed me up against the tree. Then after what seemed like forever he pulled away.

"That's one of the many things you don't know about me," I smirked,"We should probably be getting back." I said walking away from him. I turned around, "Oh and Zayn," I paused and shot him, "I win." he crossed his arms and started laughing.
