It was third period, my best period so far, Clothing and Textile. Not because of because of what was after the period, or because of the people, I just like it. I like making things with my hands and this class gave me the privilege to, and the teacher, Dr. R, for short was the best teacher I've encounter.

"Hi, Dr. R" I greeted her before I went to my sewing spot

"Hi, Shannon. Gonna finish the stationary case you were working on yesterday?" she asked

"Yep" I said enthusiastically

"Good, you can start right away" she said

I got the unfinished work from my cubicle and went ahead to continue my work on it. I really wanted to finish it today. One thing I just found out about myself is that I don't want to leave an unfinished work for the next day even though we had only an hour and fifteen minutes on regular days. On Wednesdays, we have late start so, we have an hour per period while on the last Tuesdays of the Month along with any other special occasion day. we have forty five minutes per period

With a little bit of help from Dr. R, I was doing a good job.

"Hey" a female voice said. Reluctantly, I turned my head from the sewing machine

"Hi" I greeted the familiar face

"Shannon, right?" she asked

"Yes, and you...?" I didn't want to complete the question

"Fatima" she said

Ah, the girl that is also in my English class along with Kim

"Right" I said

"What's that?" she asked

Can you please ask me questions later? I must finish this work today

"A pencil case" I said the first short word of stationary that came to my mind

"I see" she said

Without saying anything else, I took that chance to focus back on what I was working on, leaving her to perceive it as either rude or not

Finally finished, I said inside me

I looked at the time and smiled, it was thirty minutes before the end of the class

I went to Dr. R

"Dr. R" I called and showed her the case

"Wow, that's so good. Nice work, you" she said, inspecting it and my smile brightened

I really like this woman

"You like it?" she asked

"Yes"

Of course, it's the first fabric material I've made from beginning to end
