Y'all ready for some fluff

Peter's POV:

I haven't seen Wade all day. My parents have been attached at my hip and it's getting very annoying. But it's only until 6pm. Just...oh god! Just three more hours. I don't think I can last three more hours.

"Hey Pete can you show me how to work this thing. It won't play my music."

"You have to turn it on first Pops." I say my head in my hands. It's as if they are trying to piss me off. All I want is some alone time with Wade but nope. I can't have that. Although come to think of it Wade was acting pretty strange this morning. Maybe he has something to do with this. Well whatever it is I hope it is worth this torture.

Wade's POV:

Do you have the candles.

'Check.'

Do you have the flowers.

'Check.'

Do you have the...

'Nooo don't finish that sentence. They can't know yet. It's a secret.'

I was going to say do you have the food but whatever.

'Oh sorry. My bad.'

I scramble around, for once grateful for these damn boxes who keep reminding me of the things I have forgotten. It's sometimes like having a mental assistant, there to go over shit you don't remember.

You are a nervous wreck.

'No I'm fine. I am completely fine. Why do you say that?'

You just fried a flower instead of the steak.

'What? Shit!' I fish the flower out the pan and bin it. What the hell is wrong with me. I can't even cook today.

You're in love. Everyone acts stupid when they are in love.

Yellow he just cooked a flower. No one is that stupid.

Yeah good point.

'Shut up! You are not the one about to pour their heart out to the person they love in approximately... 30 MINUTES!'

"SHIT!" I yell. Luckily no one is on the roof to scold me for my language. Wow, Peter is really rubbing of on me.

I gaze around allowing myself to take in my hard work. Like at the wedding party, the roof is decked out with lights. Only this time they are draped around a large, silky white pavilion. The white wood and the golden lights make the scene look heavenly. Just how I wanted. In the pavilion is a table, two chairs and cutlery ready. There is also an empty vase ready to be filled with an abundance of red roses.

Yeah if you don't fry any more.

Shut up!

Speaking of frying I better get this food ready. I don't have long until Peter gets here. Well this POV has been fun but I am going to send you back to Peter now. Bye!

Bye!

Bye!

Peter's POV:

At five to six, my parents came to check on me only to find me pacing on the ceiling. I had managed to get away from them for about an hour, but that only allowed my nerves for tonight to swell up. Dad chuckles at the sight, whereas Pops tries to coax me down. I plop down onto the bed and sit up. I immediately get yanked off the bed and dragged to the mirror, where the two start fiddling with my hair and outfit.

"Pete you look dashing." Pops says, taking in my outfit. It's the same suit I wore to the wedding. Dad let me borrow some of his silver cuff links, which are great to fiddle with when you are this anxious. I blush at Pop's compliment, looking at myself one more time in the mirror before leaving the room.

"Thanks Pops. Now where am I going?" Dad laughs at my obliviousness and says nothing. We walk down to the kitchen and to the elevator. When it opens I am pushed in. Dad presses the button to the roof, the two of them wearing goofy smiles.

"Wait why am I going-" I am cut of by the door closing. "Jarvis? Why am I going to the roof?"

"You have a date Mr Parker do you not?" Jarvis replies, sassy as always. I sigh for his answer was not as helpful as I would have liked. I pay close attention to the screen above the door. The beeps are agonisingly slow. Each number that flicks by causes the knot in my stomach to tighten. I am desperate to find out what Wade has planned.

Finally the elevator stops. The doors slide open and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Surprise Spidey." I gasp at the sight I am greeted with. A beautiful white pavilion has been built in the middle of the space. Thousands of strings of golden fairy lights are draped down the open sides like a curtain. Standing in front of it all is Wade. He is dressed in a handsome suit, similar to mine except for the red tie. In his hands are a bunch of red roses. My eyes glaze over as I take it all in.

"You did all this for me?" I whisper, not wanting to disrupt the beauty of it all.

"Of course I did. You deserve all of this and more Petey." I very nearly start crying at that. Wade hands me the roses and leads me into the pavilion. He pulls out a chair, which I graciously accept. In front of me is a lovely looking meal of steak, potatoes and vegetables. One of my favourites.

We dig in, every now and then taking a break from our food to hold hands or gaze into each others eyes. It should be cheesy, but it feels so right. Once the food has gone, Wade goes over to the fridge in the outdoor bar and reveals a gorgeous looking cake. It has a chocolate glaze, with iced roses in pink, red and white decorating a quarter of the top. My mouth waters at the sight of it.

Wade places the cake in the centre of the table, removes our dinner plates then sits back down. I can tell he is nervous by the amount he is sweating. I reach out to hold his hand, a silent comfort. He smiles at the gesture.

"I guess your wondering what all this is for," I nod, but allow him to continue. "Peter I love you. I love you more than I ever thought I could love anyone. You have always been there for me, since the moment we met. We have had our ups and downs, but have always managed to pull through. I never want this to end. I want to wake up next to you everyday. To share every up, every down with you." He moves around the table so he is directly next my chair and gets down on one knee. "Peter will you be mine? Will you marry me."

He produces a sleek black box from his blazer, containing a gold band with a red web-like pattern etched into the material.

"Yes yes yes yes yes!" I throw myself on him, knocking over the chair in the process. This reaction takes Wade by surprise and we are suddenly a laughing heap on the floor. "I love you so much Wade." The brightest smile beams on his face as he slides the ring onto my finger. I marvel at its beauty for a moment, taking in every detail.

"Its gorgeous Wade." I gushed. Wade laughs pulling himself of the floor. he holds a hand up to help me up. I take it.

"One more thing." He pulls me into a tight embrace placing his soft lips on my own. That kiss was the most passionate one we have ever shared. I don't think I will ever forget the feeling when we came up for air and gazed into each other's eyes. "I love you. Now lets show of that ring."

I giggle as I pull him towards the elevator. I cannot wait to see everyone's faces!

They are engaged!!!! Yay!!! Only took a book and a half aha!

I am planning on three maybe four more chapters, so this book is nearing its end. It has been so fun to write. I thank you all for reading, it really means the world to me.

Until next time lovelies.
