You guys will not believe the massive writer's block I fought while writing this. In fact I was going to update a lot later, but I didn't want to disappoint all you lovely people. Anyways my grandparents sent me a fancy espresso machine for Chrismas since I love coffee so much but I'm still trying to figure it and I'm frustrated and caffine depreived.

This is going to be long so I did it in a part 1 & 2 again. Anyways, enjoy while I keep on screaming at this bloodly thing :)

Needless to say, by the time we were I'm sure that the amount of clothes we acquired was worth my tuition for the year even though I wasn’t allowed to view the price tags. I was fairly certain that I only needed one outfit but Shorty glared when I reminded her and I ended up with up to a dozen outfits.

In fact I'm pretty sure I wasn’t hallucinating when I noticed Axel’s silver credit card smoke a bit when it was swiped from the amount of money spent. It made me cringe even more than necessary.

“We would have hit some more stores but I have somewhere else to be.” Shorty said in a truly disappointed tone as the bags were shoved into the car.

“I'm sure this is enough.” I said not wanting to upset her. I'm no psychologist but I'm pretty sure she must have been deprived of a playmate when she was a child because she took delight in dressing me up like her own personal Ken doll until I had to beg her to stop in fear of the dent in Axel’s bank account. Sure I knew he could afford it but that gave me no right to be inconsiderate.

Plus I was raised in a family where if it costs more than $20 it is heart-depleting. Just joking but you catch my drift.

“Are you coming to the charity gala?” I asked.

“Of course. We’ve been going for a long time. Axel’s father is one of my family’s closet friends.” Shorty replied keeping her eyes on the road. Again was the small slip in which no one mentioned his mother. I wondered what happened to her and why it had obviously affected Axel the way it did. I'm not nosy so I'm not going to try and pry into his business, but that little thread of curiosity will always be there.

“For the record, you're not mad right?” I asked my boyfriend nervously. He smiled arranging his bow tie “For the last time Kendall, I'm not mad at you. And I assure you that my bank account is barely scratched.”

“Are you sure?” My eyes widened.

I got a glance at the receipt when Shorty dropped me off and let’s say it was a surprise that I didn’t have a seizure right there on the sidewalk.

“Yes I am.”

“Because if you had to file for bankruptcy I would feel really bad and-“

“Damn please give it a rest already. I told you that you were fairly under the limit so don’t worry.” Axel cut me off.

I curled my lip “Fairly?”

Suddenly his lips were pressed on mine to silence me. We kissed for about a few seconds before he pulled away raising an eyebrow as if to challenge me to ramble any further.

“Right, shutting up.” I made a zipping motion.

He rolled his eyes fondly still adjusting his bow tie. At the moment we were in the back of the car driving to charity gala and my emotions were a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Although being with Axel had brought me into the light of finer living, tonight was the first time that I would actually see experience it first-hand. The world of the elites where I'm sure he blended in effortlessly.
