Maggie's p.o.v.

"I can't believe you're leaving," Lacey sighed.  We were sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to be called. "And I can't believe how hot the guy who moved into your flat is."

"I know," I laughed. "You'll probably be in the flat all the time anyway." I smirked at him.

In the past 3 weeks I had really gotten my shit together. Luke still lingered in the back of my mine but my main focus was school and getting myself set up in my dorm room until term started in 3 weeks time.

Much to Lacey's protest, I had decided to fly out to London a little bit earlier so I could set all my things up in my dorm, get to know my roommate and do a bit of sightseeing while I still have time before school starts.

"Did they tell you anything about your roommate?" Lacey asked.

"All I know is that it's a girl." I told her, remembering what the letter had said.

"Promise me you wont love her more than you love me." She pouted.

"I'd find it hard to love anyone more than I love you Lace." I hugged her again until my plane was called.

"Message me when you land." She called.

"I will! What time did we say our daily facetime would be at?"

"9pm your time, 10am my time! I love you!"

"I love you too!" I called, watching her walk away. I'd never been away from Lacey any longer than 2 weeks so how I would manage to live on the other side of the world, I wasn't sure.

The flight was way too long for my comfort, I spent most of it asleep and then when I wasn't I read 5 seconds of summer fan-fiction that I'd found on Wattpad, mainly Luke ones.

Once I got off the plane the first thing I did was put on my jacket. Even though it was mid-august it was cold as fuck, but luckily I'd come prepared. I went to collect my suitcases then went to the taxi bank where I was told to get a taxi to Snowdon Estate.

"Right love, where can I take you?" The mans broad accent was the first thing I noticed and it immediately brought a smile to my face.

"Snowdon Estate, please." I told him, my accent sounded strange compared to him but his sounded much better.

"Okay doke!" He smiled, turning the engine on and pulling out of his space. "So I take it your not from England?"

"No, this is my first time here." I told him. "I'm starting a new school at the performing arts school next to the estate."

"Oh that Italie place thing, I know where you mean! That's cool. Are you Australian?" He asked.

I liked British people so far.

"Yep, born and raised." I laughed.

"I've always wanted to go to Australia, it looks beautiful." He said, I was trying to pay attention to what he was saying but I get distracted by the city, it was so different from Sydney.

"Sydney is a beautiful city. I'll definitely miss home." I nodded, remembering that I needed to message Lacey when I got access to wifi.

He drove for another 10 minutes or something before pulling up outside a block of flats.

"Here you are! That's £10.50 please."I handed him a "10 note and a pound coin and told him to keep the change, then hoped out the taxi with my suitcases.

I made my way to the 3 block of flats, which is what the letter instructed me to do, then got into the elevator and pressed the button for the 3rd floor, where my room would be. My room was number 028 so when I found the door I tensed up and knocked, nervous to meet my roommate.

A girl with long dirty blonde hair answered the door. "Hi, are you Maggie?" I nodded, trying to stand my suitcase up properly.

"Oh my god I'm so excited to finally have a roommate, I'm Laura. Do you want a hand with your cases?" She asked, noticing my struggle.

"Yeah, thanks." She grabbed two of my cases and took them inside while I walked in after her.

"The room's not that big but it's one of the biggest out of the blocks of flats." She told me. "And I'll just warn you now that once it's past like 9pm my earphones go in and I probably wont talk for the rest of the night."

"We will definitely get on well."
