"Okay, I think if we're going to be roommates we should go over a few rules, nothing major but just to save us getting into arguments and stuff." Laura suggested, which actually did sound good to me. "First of all, I've cleared a space in the bathroom where you can put your make up and there's space for your shampoo and stuff in the shower. So all of that is your space and I have my own."

I nodded. "That's cool, I hate people going through my stuff unless I tell them they can so does that count as a rule?" I asked, hoping that it would be. Even if it was Lacey I still hated people going through my things and touching them. It wasn't like I had anything to hide but that just irritated me.

"No! That's perfect." She looked almost relieved. "The school dorm staff have their own rules and stuff, do you know about them/" She asked, I shook my head, not even considering that type of thing. "Okay well, the only rules that you really need to know is that we aren't allowed any posters or photo frames hung up on the wall because it damages the paper, we aren't allowed alcohol in the dorms and we're not suppose to have boys in our dorms or girls in the boys but I do that anyway, you don't have a problem with that, do you?"

"No that's fine. I didn't have many friends that were girls back home anyway." I told her, which was actually very true as I thought about Lacey and I being the only girls in a big crowd of boys in our high school days.

She laughed. "Oh, and I also have this boyfriend called Cameron and he sometimes comes up to my room after like 7 and hangs around here for a while, is that cool? I think he'll like you. The dorm staff told me you were doing acting, yeah?"

"Yeah I am," I pulled my hair out my fair and tied it up. "And that's fine, I don't mind. Does he act too?" I asked, hoping I could maybe begin to be friends with the pair of them.

"Yeah, he might be in some of your classes."She thought. "He's a great guy, we've been together for 6 months now and he's just such a romantic." she giggled, reminding me of Lacey when she had talked about Dave like that.

I liked Laura, we were so similar and clearly had a few of the same pet peeves. Living with her would be easy enough, I'd never had a roommate before but I couldn't imagine it was a hard thing to do. I was actually more than willing to have Cameron here too, she'd been here before me and had her everyday life all layed out; which obviously included having Cameron over a lot. If I were her and some new girl from the other side of the planet came in and was like "no, he can't come in here." then I'd be fucking pissed so of course that wasn't a problem.

"How did you two meet? Just at school?"  I assumed, beginning to unpack my stuff into the wardrobe on my side of the room.

"Well, I'd seen Cam around school before and watched him in the annual show that the school puts on every year," she cleared her throat, "but we had never really talked until loads of kids from our year all went out to this club that's only a few minutes away and then he just started talking to me and I was like really nervous and giggly about it because I'd sort of fancied him and thought he was good looking. But then after talking for a while the two of us just decided to leave and then we came back here." She smirked, implying that they had sex. "do you mind if I put on some music?"

"No that's fine," I told her. Just as I was about to ask her another question about Cam, her music began to play and I immediately recognized the song.

"Within a minute I was all packed up,

I've got a ticket to another world,

I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go,"

Calum from 5 Seconds of Summer sang and I knew that I liked Laura even more.

"You know 5 Seconds of Summer?" I asked her, listening to the song again as they sang the chorus.

"Yeah, I love them! Are you a fan?" She asked, looking at me strangely, probably because I was doing my face where I look like I've just seen a ghost.

"I like Luke," was all I could say, I bit my lip as I thought about him and wondered how he was now.

"Oh I love his lip ring! But Ashton is my favourite." She smiled. "I've heard rumours that they're coming to the UK soon but I don't know if they're true." She told me. This was news that didn't surprise me, I knew that they were getting bigger and beginning to get noticed more from what Luke had told me.

I was never going to get away from this boy.
