She read the paragraph below, "When Zeus found out about the Wolf King's ability and what he did, Zeus decided to kill him. So he did, he struck the Wolf King with lightning, instantly killing him. But Zeus didn't know that Ate, the god of mischief, also gave the Wolf King the ability to be revived. Artemis and Ate went to where the Wolf King died and did a ritual to bring him back from the dead. It is presumed that the only way to fully kill the Wolf King is with a silver bullet."

"Maybe that's why every werewolf movie they say they can only die with a silver bullet." Nayeon said to herself before reading again.

"The ritual worked and the Wolf King was alive again. Since then the Wolf King has worked for Artemis in secret until he died."

"Did Jaehyun shoot Jeongyeon with a silver bullet?" She thought. She flipped through the rest of the pages in the chapter but nothing else was useful.

Nayeon closed the book and put it on the bedside table, when she did that San walked into the room.

"Are you going to sleep?"

"Yeah."

"Wait for me." He said, going into the washroom to brush his teeth and change into pajamas.

Minutes later he walked out, going to his side of the bed and getting under the blanket they shared. He moved closer to Nayeon so he could snuggle with her.

Nayeon turned off the lamp that lit up the room and they snuggled together. Nayeon closed her eyes and faced San as San faced her.

"Did you cry?" San asked, seeing Nayeon's eyelids slightly red.

"Maybe." She said quietly, trying to fall asleep.

"What happened?"

"Nothing. I just miss Jeongyeon."

"Same. Even though we only met once."

There was silence after that for a while. The couple tried to sleep peacefully. But Nayeon became restless.

"San."

"Hm?" He mumbled.

"What if I could revive Jeongyeon?"

San opened his eyes and looked into Nayeon's eyes. "What do you mean?"

"In the book I read that the original Wolf King was revived before. It also said how he was revived with a ritual. I want to try it with Jeongyeon."

San sat up and rubbed his eyes. "How do you even know it will work? That book is just rumours of mythical creatures, none of the information in that book could be real!"

Nayeon sat up as well. "What is Jeongyeon then? What is Ryujin? Last time I remember people weren't born to turn into wolves."

"I know but that revival thing might not work! Will you actually dig up Jeongyeon's grave, take her body and do whatever that ritual is? What if it does work? You could be summoning demons here, Jeongyeon might not even be the same! Are you that desperate to bring her back?"

"Yes!" Nayeon yelled angrily. "Wouldn't you want to bring someone you loved who died? What if I died? What if Ryujin died? Wouldn't you want us back?"

"Of course I'd want you back! But who knows what could happen to you or myself!"

"Whatever!" Nayeon threw herself back on the bed and put the blanket over her, turning away from San.

San sighed, "I know you love Jeongyeon but...I think you just need to let her go. It's been years since she died." He said, rubbing Nayeon's shoulder.

Nayeon shifted her body away from San, not saying a word and just trying to sleep.

San sighed again, "Good night." He laid back on the bed and went to sleep as well.

Nayeon POV

When I woke up it was 10 am, I left the bed and noticed that San wasn't here. It doesn't matter though, I don't want to talk to him right now.

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. There I saw Ryujin in her high chair as San was preparing breakfast.

"Good morning." He said to me, back facing me since he was cooking.

"Morning." I walked to Ryujin who was patiently waiting for her food. "How are you my baby Ryujinie?" I held her hands and gently shook them.

She responded with random noises, she still hasn't said her first word and she's almost turning a year old.

San appeared beside me with a bowl of baby food and a baby bottle full of milk. "Here you go." He took a baby spoon and fed some of the baby food to Ryujin.

"Breakfast is on the table." He said. I turned around to the table and it only had one plate full of food there.

"What about you?"

"I'll eat later, I need to feed Ryujin first."

"But you have work soon, let me feed her." I turned around again to San and Ryujin.

"Fine." He gave me the spoon and sat at the table, eating the food that was for me.

"Are you still mad at me?" He asked, making me freeze in front of Ryujin.

I am kind of. Why won't he let me revive Jeongyeon? He knows how much she means to me.

"No." I fed Ryujin her baby food.

"Stop lying."

"I'm not."

"Do you still want to bring Jeongyeon back?"

"Yeah." I said.

He stood up from his chair, grabbing his bag that was sitting on the table. "Don't bring her back."

"Why?" I got the courage to face him.

He walked to the front door, ready to leave. "Just don't."

"Why? Do you know something that I don't?"

He didn't even answer and just left to go to work. I sighed, facing Ryujin who wasn't understanding the situation like the child she was.

After feeding her, I brought her to her room so she could play with her toys. She sat on the carpeted floor, playing with her toys as I sat near her reading the book.

I read more about the revival and how to do it.

"4 candles, a mint leaf, a bag of sand." I read each ingredient carefully. "And lastly, an item that's important to them."

I looked at Ryujin who was still peacefully playing. "Ryujin." I said, "Do you want to meet auntie Jeongyeon?"

She responded with a noise, almost sounding like a "Mah."

"Don't worry." I closed the book that was sitting on my lap, "We will see her soon."
