"Hey, Alex! Wake up!"

"Ehh....mrf..."

"Alex! Wake up already!"

"Ah! I'm up!" The short-haired boy sprung up out of the bed only to see his bother staring at him. "Josh, come on... I was sleeping!" Alex said annoyed. "I know that you idiot-," Josh responded with a small grin, just before rolling his eyes. Alex sighed, then stretched. "Why did you feel the need to wake me up?" He asked. "Because Dad's going to let me fix his car today!" Josh said excitedly. "Oh right..." Alex said, now remembering the conversation Josh and their dad had earlier this week. "But why did you need to wake me up?"

"Because I'm so excited!" Josh said, then ran out of the room. Alex just chuckled to himself. "He is such a silly nerd,"

Alex looked around his room. "I hope today will be a good Sunday," He pulled the covers off of him, then looked over at his desk. Then saw his unfinished homework. "And that good Sunday just flew out the window," He said as he flopped back into his bed.

Josh came running back into the room. "Hey did you finish your homework?"

"What? Are you dad now?"

"No, dad said if you finished your homework you can help with the car,"

Alex shook his head. "That's fine Josh. Besides, I can't tell the difference between a spark plug from an exhaust," He said. "All I know is that cars move when you fill their ass with gas..."

Josh giggled a bit at that. "Yeah, but at least you knew the names of the parts,"

"I know the names, but I barely know what they do!" Alex said. "That's why you should let me teach you," Josh said. Alex got up. "You know I'm not fit for that stuff,"

Alex could see that Josh looked somewhat disappointed. He felt a little bad. Josh always where a nerd for loving cars, trucks, or anything like that. He always tries to rope Alex into liking them, but Alex never really found them interesting. "I bet if you meet a girl who likes cars you'd act like you like them," Josh said with a chuckle. Alex looked over at him. "Or a guy-" Alex said. Josh scratched the back of his head. "Oh, I forgot your bi-"

"And besides, no I wouldn't," Alex said. "Cars don't fascinate me at all... if I had a crush on someone who likes cars, that wouldn't let me like them any more than I did... which was never."

Josh sighed.

Alex got up, walked to his bedroom door, and walked out to the hallway.

"Hey, mom and dad home?" Alex asked. Josh shook his head. "No, they went out. They told me that they were gonna buy me a special wrench," Josh said. "A special wrench?" Alex asked confused. "Yeah! ...a wrench... that's special!" Josh said excitedly with his adorable little goofy smile. "My own wrench!"

Alex just chuckled. "Sure. I guess everyone needs a special wrench," He said as he opened a cupboard, getting out some cereal. "How're your friends?"

"Hm? Oh, you mean Mark and Matt?" Josh asked. "No duh I ment Kram and Ttam." Alex said sarcastically. Josh giggled. "They're doing ok... I guess. haven't seen Matt in a while. He said we could have hung out at the park yesterday, but instead, I saw him at Walmart with some guy in his Dad's overcoat," Josh said, with his face a little sad. Seems like he was heartbroken. Alex sighed. "I'm sure he has his reasons," He reassured him. "Hey, can I have some?" Josh asked pointing over to the cereal. "Sure, here," Alex handed him the box.

Josh poured some into a bowl and ate it dry. "Why the heck do you always eat cereal without milk?" Alex asked. "Not as weird as the people who eat cereal with water," Josh said.

Alex stared at him for a bit. "Well... that's true."

Josh chuckled.

Josh brought his cereal over to the table and started to eat. Alex went over to the sofa, sat down, and turned on the TV.

The TV was on some news channel, and some people were saying they heard some strange noises last night.

"Hm? What's this about?" Alex asked himself. He never has been a fan of watching the news, he thinks it can be too depressing to watch at times, but this seemed interesting, and he paid attention.

Josh heard the TV from the table. "Strange noises?" He asked. "From where?"

Alex shrugged. "I don't know, apparently these people are saying it came from the sky?"

"ALIENS!" Josh exclaimed. Alex shook his head. "Josh... Really? It can't be..."

That's when Alex noticed something in the location where the news reporter where at. In front of the abandoned house.

"Wait, look at where they are-" Alex said. Josh noticed. "Hey, they are in front of the abandoned house!" He said. "I wonder if the sound was coming from there?" Josh wondered.

"You believe that the house is haunted? It's all anyone talks about in school," Alex said. "You know about it?" Josh asked. "They say-" Josh got cut off. "Josh... I heard this like about a billion times from people!" Alex snapped. "Yeah I'm sure, but... mine is different." He said.

Alex rolled his eyes. "Fine-"

Josh smiled and nodded. "They say, a young boy haunts it. No one knows that much about him, for the real history of the house is unknown. All we really know is that the house was made sometime in the 1950s. We can see that it looks like a 1950s-style villa."

"Yeah yeah, so whoever owned it was rich," Alex said. Josh nodded. "Yeah, you had to be pretty rich back then to own a house like that,"

Alex thought. "If it really is haunted by a boy, I wonder where his parents are,"

"Maybe still alive, or dead as well..." Josh said.

"Would you go in there if you were dared to?" Josh asked with a smirk. "Ha... of course, I would. It's not haunted. I don't believe in ghosts," Alex said.

They both heard the sound of a car pulling up into the driveway. "That must be mom and dad with my special wrench!" Josh said excitedly.
