Chapter 13 Alive

Warren stepped out the door into the brisk cool autumn air. He could feel the cool breeze blowing onto his face and into his hair. "Golly! I can't believe im outside!"

Alex stepped out, smiling at Warren.

Alex saw Warren kneel down and was touching the green grass. "It's been over 40 still years.... Since you been outside" Alex said. Warren nodded. "And now I'm finally free!" He exclaimed.

Alex stepped down the last few steps heading to Warren, but then he heard a strange creek sound coming from the house. He looked behind him, back at the house confused. "Warren? What was that?"

He looked back at Warren who shrugged.

There was another creek, followed by a loud bang, and the whole house collapsed.

"Holy cow!" Warren exclaimed. "Holy shit!" Alex jumped back.

They both looked at the heap of wood that was once a house.

"Why... What happened?" Alex asked.

"The ghost dimension-" Warren said. "Huh?" Alex asked. "I think the curse... Was keeping the house up all that time..." Warren said. He walked up to it. "Im... Honestly gonna miss it" he said. Alex felt kinda bad about that. But now that Warren was alive... What is gonna happen? Alex doesn't know if Warren's parent's are alive or not. And even if they are, they probably aren't in good shape to look after a 15 year old boy.

Alex could mention a foster home, but Warren probably wouldn't want that.

Josh is always saying that he'd like another brother. One who likes cars. Alex is not sure of Warren is a car fanatic or not, but even if so, it'll be weird for his parents to adopt him, and Alex would have to call his boyfriend his "brother"

"Warren?" Alex asked. "Hm?"

"What are you going to do now? ... You're alive... You.. Have to eat.. Drink... Have a home and all that" Alex was very worried about all of that. Sure he could come over for dinner.... But where can he stay.

"I was... Thinking that id stay in a foster home... My mom used to work at the one up the street." Warren said. "S-she did?" Alex asked. "Do you think they'll have any information on her? To see if she?"

Warren shrugged. "Ill try not to focus to much on that. I guess I just want to make a life in 2018 as a 15 year old..." Warren said looking around. "Gee whiz this place sure does look different than I remember." Warren said.

Alex figured that they should cross this bridge when they come to it. Right now he knows Warren needs to eat. He just knows his mom and dad would be worried beyond belief. And that's when Alex realized.

It was morning.

When he came to visit Warren, it was afternoon. That means he was about to skip all of shcool. For the day.

"Warren.. You gotta come with me to my place-"

Warren nodded. "Ok" he said.

Alex didn't know what he was going to say to his parents. He walked up to the door about to knock it. He looked behind him to make sure Warren was there, and he was.

Alex knocked on the door.

A few seconds went by, and someone opened the door. It was Alex's dad. "Hi...dad.."

"ALEX?! Where in the world where you?!" He exclaimed. "I... Um..."

He had to tell somewhat of the truth.

"I had a sleep over with... My boyfriend" Alex said. His dad looked at him. "So you finally got a boyfriend huh? But.. You should of called or something... Now you're gonna be late for school!"
