Alex had just gotten through his first segment of classes for the day. It was now time for him to head to lunch period. He figured his friend Lionel would be sitting at the usual table they always sit at, and surely they were.

"Oh hey, Alex!" One of his friends, Shay, said when she noticed him walking towards the table. "Yo! Guys!" Alex said as he sat down, just across from one of his other friends, Barry.

"Hey, Al! Guess what?" Shay said with a smile. "Hm? What is it, Shay?" Alex asked as he took a bite of his tater tots. "Apparently in our next period, a new guy is gonna join our class!"

Barry nodded. "I just hope he is a cool dude,"

"Do any of you know their name?" Alex asked, curious about who the new student could be. The school rarely gets any new people at this time of the year. "I don't know. All I know is that he was from the foster home just down the road from here," Shay responded. "Yeah, he got a family to look after him and he's gonna join our school," Lionel added.

"I haven't even met him and I already feel happy for him," Barry said. "Happy he got a home," He said after.

Alex was happy as well.

'I wonder if them and I can become great friends?' He thought to himself.

"Oh, guys-" Barry said. "Any of you heard those strange noises last night?"

"Yeah what even was that-" Lionel said.

Alex was confused. "What noises?" He asked. "We don't know..." Lionel said. "Few people said it was coming nearby the abandoned house's direction, but when I heard it it wasn't coming from there at all,"

Alex shook his head. "I didn't even hear anything at all last night-" he said. Lionel chuckled. "How could you? You snore louder than a chainsaw... blocked out ya freaking ears,"

Everyone at the table laughed. Alex rolled his eyes. "Oh har har..."

"What do you guys even think it was?" Shay asked. "I dunno... maybe aliens?" Lionel asked. "Aliens don't exist dummy..." Barry said. Lionel shrugged. "Well, I said I heard the sound coming from somewhere else. Sounded like it came from the sky. "

The bell rang.

"Geez, already?" Barry said.

"I'll see you in class later Alex," Shay said as she got up to put her tray away. Alex smiled at her and went to put his tray away, and caught up with his friend.

"See you guys later!" Alex said to his two other friends.

"So you said our next class has the new kid?" Alex asked. "Yes! How many times am I gonna say?"

"Hey just wanted to make sure,"

They both walked into the classroom. The teacher was sitting at his desk. "Welcome class! Please take your seats! We have a new student who will be joining us today. Please introduce yourself-"

The teacher gestured over to a young boy with somewhat long, pitch-black hair. The young guy looked kinda shy. "H-Hello...my n-name is K-Kyle..."

"Awe he seems so shy..." Shay whispered to Alex.

But Alex didn't hear Shay. He found himself staring at the guy. Something about him... seemed off.

But Alex just couldn't even describe what he felt. He felt as if he knew the guy. Like he has seen him somewhere before. But he couldn't fully remember. It's like the guy was looking at him. Starring into him...

"Alex?"

"Alex?? Please raise your hand."

Alex snapped out of his trance and looked over to the teacher who called out his name.
