chapter 6- breakups and makeups

A/N- this book started as a Quinton book but I just wasn't feeling it. It's now a Jaden book because I have some better ideas for that. sorry if you wanted someone else.

LILY'S POV

P- Lily, I understand what you are going through right now.

L- you do? I said, still crying.

P- yes. Unfortunately, when I was very young my mother passed away and my dad was never really around after that. I had to learn how to take care of myself just like you. Except you have a bunch of other stuff on top of all of that.

I just sat there. I didn't know what to say. I wanted to say I was sorry, but nothing came out.

P- you can go now. You can take the rest of the day off if you want. I think you've had enough for one day. And I'll tell coach you won't be attending today for volleyball.

I nodded and walked out of the room.

QUINTON'S POV

I was honestly scared to see lily. I feel like she will never forgive me even though she said she did. Not to mention i had no idea who she even was when I have been in her class for years and we were basically best friends in elementary school. I have to talk to Cynthia. She can't keep treating her like this. It's not right.

We talked to the principal, I only got 1-day suspension but Josh got 2 days for bullying her. After  Josh and I left the principal's office, we went to talk to Cynthia and Nessa. I don't really know what I'm going to be telling her or how it will go over with her but it needs to happen.

Q- Cyn, we need to talk.

Cyn- Ok, I have been needing to talk to you actually.

Q- oh ok, can I go first?

Cyn- yes of course.

Q- Uhh well, I need you to stop being mean to Lilly.

Cyn- Who?

Q- Omg Lilly, your dog walker. I said getting annoyed.

Cyn- ohhhhh, volleyball bitch. She rolled her eyes. And why would I do that? She started laughing.

Q- Because you have no idea what she has been through lately.

Cyn- Does it look like I care about what she's been through? No, I didn't think so.

Q- Stop being such a bitch and actually think about someone other than yourself for once.

Cyn- Baby, I think about you all the time. That's someone other than myself.

Q- Don't baby me. We're over. I can't be with someone who is disrespectful to my friends.

Cyn- Since when were you friends with that slut. Rolling her eyes again crossing her arms.

Q- since a while ago. Don't expect me to drive you to school anymore, or even talk to you in the halls.

Cyn- I'll be waiting for you to come crawling back to me after you realize what kind of mistake you've made. She rolled her eyes and walked away.

Finally, I've been trying to break up with her for months. She's just way too controlling and never let me talk to anyone. But I wonder what she was going to talk to me about.

JOSH'S POV

I'm really nervous because I don't want to break up with Nessa, I just want her to be nicer to Lilly. I hope she doesn't break up with me.

J- Hey ness, can we talk?

N- Joshy, you're scaring me.

J- no-no-no. It's not like that.

N- Ok good. But what do you need to talk about?

J- Well I want you to be nicer to Lilly. Q is talking to Cynthia and I'm pretty sure he's breaking up with her too but I'm not sure.

N- Oh ok. As long as you're not breaking up with me, I'll do anything to stay with you.

J- So does that mean you're ok with me being friends with her?

N- Ya sure. I was only mean to her because Cynthia was threatening me, but if she's not with Q anymore then hopefully she can forgive me and we could all be friends.

I pulled her into the biggest hug I've probably ever given her.

We decided to find Quinton and go see Lilly. We drove to her house and knocked on her door.

LILY'S POV

I was sitting on my couch eating my McDonald's with Jack when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and to my surprise, it was Quin, Josh and Nessa. Why was Nessa at my house? Why were they all at my house? Were they going to beat me up or something?

L- Hey guys, what are you doing here?

J- so we were actually here to see if you were ok.

N- And I am here to tell you that I'm sorry about everything I've done to you. Cynthia was threatening me into bullying you. I really didn't want to do all those things. I'm so sor- I cut her off by saying

L- Nessa chill out, it's fine. We're all good. We both let out a small giggle.

Q- Great, now that we're all good, I also wanted to tell you that I broke up with Cynthia.

L- Quin you didn't have to do that.

Q- I've actually wanted to do that for so long because she was just so toxic.

J- you could say that again.

Nessa and I chuckled and high fived josh.

L- Come in and make yourselves at home. It's just me and Jack here.

N- Where are your parents?

L- my mom died last year and my dad doesn't come around the house very often.

N- oh I'm so sorry. I didn't know.

L- It's fine I'm used to it now.

J- Ok let's switch this topic.

Q- wanna play 20 questions to get to know each other more?

N- Ya I'm down.

L- Alright.

J- Sissy can I pwease dwaw someting?

L- Yes of course. I say handing him his colouring book and some crayons.

We played 20 questions for about an hour when everyone had to go home so I walked them out and said bye. As I was going back inside I noticed a 'for sale' sign in my neighbour's lawn. Looks like I'm getting a new neighbour soon.
