chapter 13- mall madness

Lily's POV

we went to the mall in two separate cars. one with Jaden, Avani and I, and another with Cynthia, Addison and Olivia.

We went to a bunch of stores and we got hungry so we went to the food court. I got Taco Bell with Jaden and avani while everyone else got chick fil a. We all met back at our table and started eating. We were all just bonding and talking about our lives and getting to know eachother when I saw someone staring at me. It looked like,

My brother

I haven't seen him since I was 5. That's when he ran away. He was 13 at the time. I haven't told anyone I even had another brother but i guess everyone is going to know now.

A rush of emotions are going through me rn. Happy, confused, scared. Mad even. Why did he leave me? Why did he have to go? Where did he go? Why is he back?

We were staring at eachother for what seems like forever. Jaden was calling my name but I didn't want to lose sight of him, he was the only thing I could think about right now.

Oh no he's coming over here. I didn't know what to do. I was frozen. I stood up slowly as he started walking faster. I'm pretty sure everyone was confused. They were strong at me, than at him, then back at me.

I was broken out of my thoughts when he ran and hugged me. I hesitated to hug back but I did eventually. I pulled away and said:

L- Luke? I said on the verge of tears.

Lu- hey lils. He said with half a smile on his face

I hugged him again and mumbled "I missed you." Into his chest.

Cyn- Lily, who is this?

Av- ya who are you?

I looked up at luke and back at everyone, who had very confused looks on their faces and said "this is luke."

Ad- ya we get that but who is he?

Lu- I'm her brother.

J- you have another brother?

Lu- another?

L- umm, yes

O- why have I never heard that you had a hot ass brother?

Cyn- shut up Olivia! But seriously, why did no one know you had another brother?

L- you see, I haven't actually seen Luke since I was 5 so I never thought to ever bring him up.

Lu- can we get back to the whole other brother thing?

J- she has a 2 year old brother named jack. How old are you?

Lu- I'm turning 26 next month.

O- ooo I like older men.

Cyn- shut up Olivia. Your a lot older than Lily.

L- ya my mom had him when she was 17 then she had me 9 years later and then jack when I was 14.

Lu- how are mom and dad doing?

J- he doesn't know?

Av- no, he hasn't been in her life for years.

Lu- know what?

L- well, um, mom actually, uh, she died last year and I haven't seen dad in almost 8 months. He sometimes sends money for child support but rarely. I don't even know where the money is coming from. He doesn't have a job from what I know of.
