"Hey wait, I know you" Alfie said once he had seen my face in proper lighting. "You're Zoella."

"Yeah, that's me" I responded akwardly, "and you're pointlessblog."

"Wow" he said,"I thought our proper meeting would be different than this."

Had he thought about it a lot?

I just stood there not really knowing what to say.

"Anyway" he continued, "what's the matter?"

"Uh...oh, it's nothing. You should go in and enjoy the party." I replied, still holding back tears.

He pulled my hand, and we both sat down on the curb.

"Then why are you covered in beer, and holding back tears?" He asked, lifting my chin up to look into my eyes.

"You barely know me" I said, "why are you being so nice?"

"You seem like a nice girl," he responded, "and you just seemed like you needed someone to talk to" he added shyly.

This brought a small smile to my face, and I decided to explain the evenings events to him.

"Well first off" I said, " my best friend has decided to play match-maker by making me go out tonight. I mean... I do want to meet someone, I just don't want it to be forced like this." I rambled. "Then, when we were dancing, this filthy man came up from behind and was dancing all over me. He spilled his drink all down my dress, and wouldn't let go of me. It's really a miracle I got away from him" I continued. "And then, I ran into you when I was trying to leave, which made you see me as a crying mess, when I had really wanted to make a good impression because you seem like a really nice guy."

" I seem like a really nice guy?" He questioned.

"Goodness, did I say that part out loud?" I asked, covering my face with my hands. I am such an idiot.

"Don't be embarrassed" he said as a huge smile spread across his face, "you seem really great too. Now tell me more about this guy."

I looked up at him in shock,.but managed to elaborate on the strange man.

"That's terrible" he sympathized when I had finished.

I smiled. He was saying all of the right things tonight.

"Alright then" he said, suddenly standing up. "If I've learned anything from having a sister, it's that after a girl gets hurt by a guy, she must eat loads of ice cream. Does that sound good to you?"

I couldn't help but look at him. This gorgeous man has just listened to me complain about my night, and now wanted to take me to get ice cream at midnight? What more could I ask for?

Because I hadn't answered yet, Alfie grabbed my hand, and led me down the street.

"I know this great retro ice cream parlor just a block over"he said, and we were off.
