Alfie's P.O.V.

When I had my first girlfriend my mum taught me that every successful relationship, be it friendly or romantic, is built on truth.

This lesson is what drove me to tell Zoe how I've been feeling.

Yesterday

Zoe's P.O.V.

It had been a week or so since I had gotten home from the hospital. Alfie and I hadn't spoken or hung out since, and I was starting to get worried. Was he just shocked? Or worse. I couldn't bear thinking about that. What if he didn't want to be my friend anymore after seeing me break down like that? I couldn't lose Alfie now. I felt closer to him than ever.

My phone suddenly buzzed. I looked down to see a text from Alfie.

A: Hey! Sorry I've been awol this week haha. Want to meet for lunch tomorrow?

Well of course I did! So I texted back:

Z: Sure, Nando's at 1?

Alfie instantly replied that he'd see me there, and with that our conversation was over. I was glad that he admitted he'd been missing this week, at least he was honest!

I haven't updated in a while, but that will probably change soon because my midterms are over this week, and then I won't be constantly studying. Thank you for reading. Favorite, add, comment to give me feedback if you are enjoying this.
