A few weeks passed and PJ had been able to stay at Fresh's place for most of the time.

During the time he was there, he had made it very clear of his presence. He bought food for the house often and cooked it too, he even took care of the yard and got the sprinklers to work! The grass was now turning to a healthy green color and was mowed at least twice.

Fresh blushed at the thought of all the things that the jock was doing for him and the run down house. It was odd, yes, but so kind and sweet.

Taking a deep breath, the nerd walked around the mostly empty school. His group of friends were in the cafeteria, most likely talking about anime, music and such.

He though, wanted to be alone. He had so many thoughts running around in his head that he needed time to sort them out. Yet, life doesn't even want to give that to him.

A group of people shoved him into the lockers, hard. Hard enough that it felt like the nerd's pale bones were going to be bruised.

All of the gang members were human, all of them with Reversed Souls, or evil souls like Spite. Fresh winced at the feeling of their souls. He hated feeling those type of souls.

The group laughed and howled, swiftly getting into a kicking party after they shoved the small skeleton to the ground. They laughed and cheered, watching as the pathetic monster curled some.

Then they broke his shades, making him hide his head with his arms and body.

The human group tried to go further, to really set it in that they hated Fresh for whatever reason, but they were quickly thrown off him.

The group cowered at the fiery heat of PJ's eyes, his hands clenched tight in fists. He had only seen the beating for a few seconds, but it was enough to make his blood boil.

The group stumbled back some before bolting. They rather not face off with him. They wouldn't make it out alive!

Taking a deep breath, the jock quickly calmed himself before he focused on Fresh.

The small nerd was still curled in the fetal position, whimpers leaving his lips as he shook some. Anyone could see how scared he was. How hurt he was.

A deep frown formed on the dark skeleton's mouth, making him move close to the smaller monster. He then softly touched his shoulder, getting a jolted reaction, for once letting his eyes show.

The frown shifted into a grimace, pain and hatred forming in PJ's gut.

The small monster's eyes were cracked horribly, and the left socket had a near shattered soul. The tiny parasite could only stare up at the jock with fear and the want of death. They were so close to being broken.

Gently, PJ picked him up, cradling the monster to him. He was going to bring Fresh to his house, it was closer after all.

Swiftly, the two were by the jock's car and soon, they were at his house.

Thankfully, no one was home as his Mother and Father sometimes liked to leave the school on their lunch break for "alone time". Honestly, he didn't want to hear anything nor explain anything at the moment.

The ink skeleton softly placed Fresh on his couch, hurrying in his parents' closet to get their med kit, which was actually very similar to Fresh's.

The jock just brushed that off and went to his injured partner. Besides, he and his father were usually the ones to out do themselves and get hurt.

The parasite was still laying on the couch, tears were softly falling down his cheeks with gentle whimpers leaving his lips.

The whimpering wasn't doing PJ's anger good. He was gonna have to talk with those humans later.

Taking a deep breath, the taller monster grabbed what he needed to help Fresh.

The smaller monster winced as his wounds were taken care of. Yet, Fresh stayed quiet, letting PJ just help him.

Soon, all cracks were covered and taken care of, leaving the weak skeleton there. He was so tired, and yet he was scared to sleep. Not when another monster had seen his eyes. Few outsiders would accept him, and he feared that he would have to leave when things were going to good.

The ink monster softly cupped the other's cheek, a worried look in his eyes. He could tell that the parasite was tired, but he could also tell he was fighting that tiredness.

"It's alright... I'm here."

PJ's voice was soft and soothing, calm and sweet. His voice relaxed the smaller, making it harder for him to keep his eyes open.

"You're safe... You're safe." The words were whispered truthfully, PJ's hands gently rubbing the others body.

Fresh's eyes fluttered as the last bit of strength fell away. Sleeping made things better. Sometimes...
