The new student shoved his skateboard into his locker. So far, so good.
For the first hour, no one had tried to hit, kick, or torment him. So the day was going awesomely!
"Hey, nerd!" A giant fish lady shouted, harshly clapping her hand on the skeleton's shoulder.
The sunglass wearing monster flinched, his hand automatically reaching up for his glasses. The taller monster's out burst startled him.
"Y-Yeah?" The newbie stuttered.
The fish monster smirked down at the wimpy skeleton. She doubts he'll put up a fight.
"I'm a little ticked. So," She didn't have to finish her sentence as she slammed the male into a row of lockers. Welp, there goes Fresh's luck. "This is gonna be a piece of cake!" She barked, baring her teeth.

PJ sighed, he just got a five minute lecture on how he needs to improve his grade. It was pointless honestly. He always does well on tests, it's just homework that fucks him over. Besides, the teacher made him late for his second class.
"This is gonna be a piece of cake!" He heard someone shout. It sounded like one of his friends, but most of them have semi-deep voice, so it was a bit difficult to tell who.
Looking pass the corner, his eyes widen. The voice had belonged to Undyne, who looked ready to beat the crap out of the new guy!
Yeah, the jock did beat nerds up, but he had a "taste" in which ones to beat up. Weak nerd or rookies, were definitely on his Not Beat Up list.
"Yo, Undyne." He called out, stopping her from hitting the kid.
"Hey, PJ." She hissed, her good eye still hard on the white skeleton.
"What are ya doing?" The more dominating jock rose an eyebrow, silently challenging the fish woman. She scoffed, but dropped the pale skeleton.
She knew how the popular jock was. He wouldn't beat any new guy till at least a week later. Honestly, she hated that dumb rule, but he was a lot stronger than her. Magically and physically.
So with a huff, she left to two be.
"Th-Thanks for th-the s-save..." The nerd looked shaken up badly, his grip on his glasses impossibly tight.
"Uh... you okay, newbie?"
The jock felt weird seeing the new kid like this... It made his soul flutter in an odd way... Forcing a protective feeling from him... Which was strange in itself as he was only protective of his brothers!
"Y-Yeah... J-Just n-not use to th-that..." The smaller skeleton glanced over to where Undyne had gone, before back to the person in front of him.
PJ nodded, not completely understanding what the smaller monster meant. Yet, it caused that feeling to return.
"What's your next class?" He quickly changed the subject, deciding to just help the guy.
Instead of answering, Fresh just handed the taller his paper.
Period 1: Science- Mr. Sans
Period 2 English-Ms. Life
Period 3 Math- Ms. Muffet
Period 4 Tech-Mr. Al
Period 5 Lunch
Period 6 Art-Mr. Ink
Period 7 History-Mr. Nightmare
The taller skeleton sighed. He had three periods with the nerd. Four if you're counting lunch.
"Come on, we have English."
Fresh didn't have time to respond as the dark boned skeleton pulled him along.
The two walked briskly down the empty halls. They were already late as it was and Paper didn't need anymore referrals.
"Now, where have you two been?" Ms. Life asked, her voice sharp. She hated it when kids turned up late. She found it disrespectful and rude.
"I was told to show the rookie around, Ms. Life." The male tried to say, but her red eyes glared through the lie.
"I-It's true, Mistress. I was lost in the hall and stopped him. I am sorry for causing such trouble." The way that the nerd spoke...
Ms. Life stared him down, he giving her a kind smile back.
Everyone in the class held their breath. Ms. Life hates it when students lie to her, but she hates it more when others try to help the lie. If caught, she sends both parties to detention... Which was ran by the most sadistic teacher ever, Mr. Reaper.
"You're... Not lying, are you?" Her voice was hesitant, like not even she, a retired cop, could tell!
"Why would I lie on my first day here, Madam?" The way that Fresh spoke... It was like he had done this plenty times before... Odd...
"We-well then... Just sit wherever you like, Mr..."
"Fresh Fukai, Ms. Life." A few people chuckled at the nerd's name, but stopped. The room became tense, a darkness filling it.
The goat woman shifted, not having felt such a darkness before. Quickly, she pointed her new student to a desk.
"Thank you, Ms. Life." Mr. Fukai chirped, hopping to the lonely seat near the front.
PJ was a bit confused... Didn't the nerd feel the darkness?
