A couple of months passed, the weather was starting to get colder and Fresh was refusing to put the air on.

His reasoning was valid as he didn't need the heater on while he wasn't there and that it was just going to cost him more in the long run, but damn did it annoy PJ.

He didn't want his small Uncle freezing to death in the middle of the night! Specially since the parasite only used a small metal heater, which was usually in his room. The only times he turned the air on was for the jock, never for himself.

The jock sighed some to himself as he thought it over in his car. He had just gotten off work, so the vehicle was still cold.

A small scoff left his lips without meaning to. Honestly, he never thought he'd get a job in High school. Yeah, he volunteers and things like that, but that's more to get out of the house and to please his mom.

Now, he was working as much as he legally could, trying to make sure Fresh didn't have too much on his plate. He usually bought the food and paid off the water bill, leaving him practically broke afterwards. Yet, even those two simple things made the parasite relax more, seeming to be at ease.

Taking a soft, deep breath, he put the car in drive and went back to his home. To Fresh.

Once there, he saw his father's car, which confused him some, yet he shook his head. He was probably wondering if his younger brother needed help. Which didn't sound so bad.

Quietly, the ink skeleton left his car and went inside the surprisingly warm house.

"Fresh, you know you can't spend every second with him." A soft voice whispered in the silent house.

The jock rose an eyebrow, closing the door mouse like.

"I know, I know, but... He buys me food, cooks for me and..." A blissful sigh left someone's lips. The voice was clearly Fresh's but it sounded odd.

The ink monster stated by the door, listening to the conversation. It was clearly about him, but why?

"FresH," The name was stressed, a small glitch happening at the end. "You know he could be a defect like me." The words were a code of some sort, like an inside joke.

"I know that, he's like you very much." Fresh hissed back, glaring at his brother. "But it's not like I can shut my door on him after he's been so nice. Besides, I'll be gone before the end of the school year." The last part was mumbled, the parasite looking away.

It was then, that PJ made himself known.

"What do you mean you'll be gone before the end of the school year?"

The two brothers jumped, their eyes wide in surprise. They were getting sloppy if he could sneak up on them.

Quickly though, Error relaxed himself while his younger brother looked away, tense still.

The dark glitch looked at his son with calm eyes, the type of eyes that already tell you they're lying.

"It's nothing important. We were never one to stay in one place for too long for almost anything."

"You stayed for Mom." Countered the son immediately.

"I said almost anything. Kiki is one of those exceptions." There was a glare in Error's voice despite that his eyes stayed calm.

PJ opened his mouth, trying to say that Fresh didn't have to leave since he was family, but the parasite spoke first.

"It was nice having you over, Glitchy, but I think it's time you and your Kiki have date night." The younger brother held a soft smile, a gentle tone in his voice.

The tone made Error pause for a second, thinking. He then smirked the sinful smirk that PJ had learned long ago.

"Yeah, you're right. See ya around." With that, the dark glitch was gone.

The son shook his head and laughed a bit.

"Was he always like this?" He looked to his Uncle, a soft smirking smile on his lips.

The shorter skeleton shook his head, relaxing some.

"No, he actually didn't allow anyone but me and Brother touch him, but even then that was rare."

The dark skeleton rose an eyebrow, not really believing it. He had seen his father get clinging and touchy around his mother. Like, there was no way his father had a touching problem before, specially with how horny that bastard could get.

Fresh just smiled and shrugged, yet there was something that he wasn't telling his Nephew. Something big.

Yet, the jock pushed his suspicion aside. He will know eventually... Hopefully before Fresh leaves.
