I glanced at Mattia's seat and noticed he wasn't there. I guess he's not showing up today.

"Hey I heard you stayed over at Mattia's house yesterday" a voice said from beside me. Obviously it was Diego. "Okay first of all, ew that's creepy. Second of all, why does it matter? It was just a project anyways" I recited the last words Mattia spoke before he left. It felt like venom on my tongue.

Diego huffed and shoved his notebook in his backpack. "Fine whatever. Just stop talking to him" he got up and left the classroom. That's another level of weird.

"Help me Kairi! Save me! I need you" I stared into the direction the voice came from. There was a single light which illuminated my entire figure. It stood under my feet and went wherever I did.

The voice continued to scream my name for what seemed like an eternity until there were footsteps and then complete silence. I attempted to turn around when I felt a presence behind me but I was stopped by two large hands that grabbed my shoulders.

I gasped when one hand left my shoulder and clasped over my mouth. "Look down and look back up" the same voice from before whispered from behind me. My heart stopped when I looked up to see a mirror. In the reflection was the hand over my mouth with the word 'help' written in black paint. The face of the person was covered in a black hood but tears still visibly slid down the person's face. He began to laugh hysterically. "Do it again"

My throat went dry but I did as I was told. His laughing became louder and his grip on my face and shoulder became harder. I looked up to see his face was now uncovered. The tears on his face were no longer clear. Instead, blood trickled from his eyes. His hand no longer said 'help'.

As if he were reading my mind, he spoke. "Say it" he gestured to his hand. His hand went from covering my mouth to harshly squeezing my throat. "Read it Kairi" he spoke between gritted teeth and began to squeeze harder. "Don't leave me." I choked out between shallow breaths. In one blink, the words changed. "Come back to me." I looked back up to him. His smile faded away and he turned me around to face him. "For me?" He pushed my chest with his fingertips. "Mattia!" I screamed before falling into a pool of water.

I woke up with a jolt and my heart pounding. My body felt so hot that I ripped off my blanket and shirt, throwing them to the ground. I ran to the kitchen and noticed my mom was putting away dishes.

"Mom I need advice" I slammed my hands on the counyer and kept my eyes wide open. She raised an eyebrow which meant I should continue. "What if you know you should do something but you don't want to do it because it's none of your business and you don't care that much but then there are so many things telling you to do it but you feel like it could really help or hurt someone and you don't want to hurt them because that's mean but you also don't want to help them because you don't want them to know you care because you kind of don't but you kind of do?" She gave me a weird look before passing me a water bottle.

She continued to put away the dishes until I drank the whole bottle. "Do what your heart desires" she smiled and turned back around. My hopeful expression dropped. "Mom! That's total bullshit!" She shot me a look for my foul language. "Kairi. I can't help you unless you tell me exactly what's going on" after putting the last cup away she grabbed my hand and guided me to the dining room. "I know you're only doing this to know what's going on in my life and I know you're just going to give me the same advice" I jumped onto the couch and pulled out my phone.

There's only one logical thing to do, right? "Hello?" A raspy voice spoke from the other end. "How long will your parents be gone for?" I nervously bit my lip. "Oh it's you. I thought we weren't on talking terms anymore...?" He ignored my question and started being very very rude. "Great! Thanks Mattia! I know I can always count on you to be ecstatic! Anyways I hope that guest room is clean because I'm going to be staying there for a while"

Okay this one is kinda short too also sorry there are so many spacers. I feel like everything is going pretty fast but it's ogey because otherwise it'll take too long for them to actually talk again.
