ch. 5 "Dreaming..."

Courtney eventually drifted into her dream world, with Damien's shoulder as her pillow. What'll happen next? Who knows? Oh wait, I do. So will you in just a few moments...

Courtney's Dream

"Wait, why am I outside again? This is the same place I was when I went for a walk. Did I go for a run again?" Courtney asked herself. Courtney, confused, looked around. Why was she here?

"What do you mean? We went here for our date, remember? I didn't know this was the same place you went for a walk. Anything wrong?" a male voice said. Courtney jumped and turned to her side. It was Damien.

"Date..? What do you mean date? We're just friends, are we?" Courtney was confused, she was panicking. Was Damien really on a date with her?

"Court, are you okay? It's me, Damien, your boyfriend?" Damien became confused. What happened to her? Was she going to break up?

"No? Maybe? I don't know. I'm just so... confused," Courtney said.

"What are you confused about? I can help you. Remember, it's me."

"No, I'm fine, thanks." Courtney's view was then pulled out from her own body, she now saw everything from a few feet away, seeing herself and Damien together.

"Alright. Love you," Damien said. "Love you too.", Courtney said. The real Courtney watched just a few feet away, yet hearing everything as if she was right next to him.

The two, Dream Damien and Dream Courtney, slowly got closer together until their lips connected. They then pulled away and smiled at each other, holding each other's hands.

Then Courtney was sucked into darkness, bringing herself back to her reality.

Shayne's POV

Courtney has been asleep on Damien's shoulder for over 15 minutes. Neither of them have moved the entire time. We're all whispering to each other, and Noah is right about to leave. Damien decides to slowly pick her up from the side and carry her to her bed.

The three of us decided to leave. We all said goodbye to each other, and each went our separate ways home. Tonight was great, but I noticed that Courtney was a little off earlier. I'm just hoping that she'll be fine tomorrow.

Was she upset? I don't think she was fine like she told me. Who upset her? Did someone do something to her? I should try to find out.

Courtney's POV

I woke up to find myself in my bed, but still in my clothes from last night. I don't recall going back into my bed, so why was I here? I then noticed a note on my desk. I read what the note said in my head.

"Hey Courtney. You fell asleep last night, so I carried you back to your bed. We all left afterward. There's some food in the fridge that I put in there for you. Tonight was great, and I hope you had a great night too. Thanks for inviting me over.

- Dames"

I smiled. I checked my phone notifications and went to the kitchen. I opened the fridge, revealing a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon with Saran Wrap over it. There was a note that read, "Hope you have a great breakfast! :)" I heated it up in the microwave and then ate it for breakfast. Thanks for the food, Deeeem. I texted Damien, "ty for the food deeeeeeeeeem". He responded back with, "Yw! Luvu courtbort" Then I remembered something. My dream.

What did that mean? Boyfriend? Was it going to happen? Wait. We kissed. My mind swirled. This is just going to make everything feel awkward now. Were we going to get together? Wait. Olivia. She knows, she can help me with this.

Court Bort: it's about u,

Court Bort: um*

Court Bort: Damien

💛 Liv Liv: o, ok of course! whatever u need 💕

Court Bort: tysm 💕

I then called Olivia.
