I don't want to break her heart or make everyone's jobs harder. How am I supposed to respond if she tells me? I guess she wasn't lying when she said that she really liked me. She's my best friend, but what if that changes? Even if we both wanted to, company policy wouldn't allow it. If we even started to, it would just be so awkward if we broke up.

Why would we break up?

I don't know. Maybe it just didn't work out, it's plausible.

So much can happen in so little time.

Inhale. Just relax, put it on hold for now. You've got a meeting in nearly five minutes, and you've been badgering on for the last twenty-five. She may get over it anyway, and so will you.
