"Over. Its finally over"  thought the boy who lived. Tom Riddle was gone and he Harry had made sure that he won't return again.

Harry Potter looked up at the ruined castle which had once stood proud and intact. He gave a small snort as he saw Filch the caretaker with a broom trying to clear off the debris.

Memories flooded behind those green eyes which, very much resembled his mother.

He recalled entering those very gates as a frightened 11 year old for the first time and how Hogwarts had become his one true home. He was reminded of all the time that he had spent with his two best friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger in the castle.

A sly smile graced his lips as he recalled the hours spent on countless discussions beside the fire on the three best armchairs, doing homework in the school gardens by the lake, countless hours in the library, the number of times they had broken school rules and sneaking away to Hagrid's at night under his invisibility cloak.

He snorted at the thought of the numerous plottings that he and Ron had thought, although never tried any of those to annoy "Professor" Snape and Malfoy.

At the thought of Malfoy something suddenly struck Harry. Draco Malfoy his archenemy from the moment he had stepped into Hogwarts, who had hated him with every core of his being had helped him.

He recalled all those times when Draco had done various things over the years to get him expelled. So why now did he help him at the Malfoy Manor?

The question had disturbed Harry but he did not get the time to ponder over the particular question in the middle of the fight against Voldemort.

He had let go  of that question thinking maybe Hermione's spell had worked and Draco had been unable to identify him which was very unlikely thought Harry.

Now that he thought about it, he distinctly remembered watching the recognization flash in the cold greyish blue eyes of the youngest Malfoy.

Harry averted his eyes from the ruins of the castle still wondering, when he saw the very reason of his confusion standing some distance away.

There stood the Slytherin Prince gazing at the castle, hands inside the pocket of his black dress pants. He was wearing his usual sleek immaculate black suite which now had torn patches due to the fight.

Before he could stop himself Harry's feet were taking him towards Draco Malfoy. Harry had no idea what he would ask Draco, before he could think of anything though he had already reached his destination.

For a few minutes both stood silently looking at the castle. Draco looked sideways at choosen one with a small smile adorning his baby pink lips.

"Hi" said Harry without thinking, he did not know what else to say. He had never thought that a day would come where he would be able to have a civil conversation with Draco Malfoy.

"Hey" retorted Draco, his smile widening with a slight hint of amusement.

Harry was still pondering over how to bring up the subject but he he was saved from making the first move.

"I know why you are here Potter" Draco looked sideways at Harry the smile still intact.

He looked way more mature than Harry remembered him to be at school, he was always the annoying arrogant show off git but today he just had a different aura around him.

Harry saw a mature adult who seemed to have  grown emotionally over time. Harry tried to muster up a reply but Malfoy beat him to it.

"Its okay go ahead"

"Why?" Harry asked he felt a mutual understanding with Malfoy today which shocked Harry himself.

He hoped Malfoy would answer. The slytherin thought for 2 mins then nodded and got his mother's wand out of his pocket.

He pressed his wand to his temple and out came the silvery strand which Harry had often seen the former two headmasters of Hogwarts doing. Harry searched his pockets and luckily found a phial which Hermionie had given him. Malfoy dropped the silver memory strand in it.

" I did really appreciate if you keep this a secret" said Malfoy. Harry nodded as if silently promising him.

Draco did not know why he was trusting the person he had hated since he was eleven with a secret so close to his heart that he had never confided to anyone except his former potions master. After a long time he had acted impulsively and he did not regret it. He had missed the thrill of doing something whose consequence was to left to imagination.

He was feeling considerably lighter as if a big burden had been lifted off his shoulder. Draco knew his fate was going to be many years in the Askaban. He did not know if he would survive that so he wanted atleast someone to know that he was not that bad.

Draco had never thought that Harry Potter would be the second person to know this secret which he had tried with all his might to hide from others.

Sighing he wished a very astounded and slightly confused Harry a goodbye and added
" Well done Potter".

Still bewildered Harry just nodded at him and walked along the familiar path towards Dumbledore's  office. On the way he received many claps and hand shakes, but he did not want to stop and chat. The short conversation with Malfoy had filled him with curiosity.

He entered the office and there sat the pensive as still as ever. He quickly poured the contents of the phial in the pensive and entered the pensive.

It seemed like 20 minutes had passed when he came back up. To say he was stunned would be an understatement. It was as if someone was putting on a disillusionment charm on him. He looked down again at the contents in the pensive which now showed very familiar warm chocolate brown eyes starring back at him.

The door to the office opened and Hermione stepped in

" Hey what are you still doing here? Everything alright? Common Mrs. Weasley is looking for you." She asked her voice was still a little cracked and eyes still puffy and tired because of the events of the past few days and all the crying.

"Yeah I ll be there" he said carefully hiding the pensive from her.

She sighed gave him a half hearted smile and turned to leave.

Harry stood there quite still, he cannot reveal this to anyone. Malfoy had trusted him with this although not literally but he had promised the Slytherin prince and he very much intended to keep it till atleast Malfoy decided to reveal it himself.
