It had been almost 6 months that Draco had shifted in the village of St. Ottery Caterpole. Things were going well, actually great according to him.
He had now comfortably settled into his new life. The awkwardness when he had first met the Weasley's was gone and he had developed a friendly co-ordial relation with them.
Even Fred, George and Ron had started tolerating his presence. He could meet Hermione almost everyday and next week he would start his training to become a Healer as the course started from January.
Currently he was getting dressed to go to the Burrow as Mrs. Weasley had organised a small celebration for Bill and Fleur.
They had come from Egypt and announced that they were expecting a baby. Charlie Weasley had come from Romania too and also Ginny was back for the Christmas holidays.
When he entered the Burrow he saw a large banner saying "Welcome Baby Weasley" decorated with baby blue and pink coloured balloons and ribbons.
He guessed this was the work of Hermionie and Mrs. Weasley combined by the neatness and beauty of it.
Mrs. Weasley was dabbing her eyes and Mr. Weasley was patting her shoulder while smiling at Bill and Fleur.
He went towards them and congratulated the pair and also gave them the flowers he had got them and they thanked him.
He looked around and saw all the of the others gathered around the twins who were showing them their lastest creation of fireworks.
He sat beside Harry who gently thumped him on the back. He looked up at Hermione sitting beside Ginny and it was as if he heart had momentarily stopped.
She was looking so beautiful in her pink dress which showed her soft skin, her hair cascading down her back, she had straightened them for tonight.
Harry actually had to hit him with his elbow and gave him a rather amused look to which Draco shook his head smiling.
George then introduced Draco to a boy whom he had guessed was Charlie Weasley from the small scratches and burns on his strong arms. He knew that Charlie worked with Dragons.
He looked fitter and stronger built than the rest of the Weasleys.
Even Hagrid and Kingsley and some of the aurors had come and Draco remained wary of them. They all gave him suspicios looks but he was used to it now.
He actually managed to talk to Hagrid and apolozise for his behaviour and he was glad Hargrid had forgiven him, although uncertainly.
But it was a start nonetheless.
The evening was overrall fine he enjoyed talking to Charlie about his adventures and stories about dragons with Fred and George during dinner.
Then they cut the cake and all sat down in the hall and made a toast to Percy. Ginny was telling him Hermione, and Harry about changes at Hogwarts while Harry gently caressed her hair.
It was very cosy. Ron and Bill were playing the exploding snap and Fred and George were in deep conversation with Fleur and Mrs. Weasley and Mr. Weasley were fussing about Charlie not visiting often and his haircut.
"Harry and Ron joining Auror training huh? asked Charlie trying to pry his parents off him.
" Yes we start next week" said Ron excitedly.
"Well you ll have to study a lot actually, the practical lessons will be really tough. I mean its not as much study as being a Healer" said Bill eyeing Draco and Hermione "but still a lot of jinxes, counter curses, stratergies, a lot more advanced transfiguration and charms will not be easy" finished Bill.
