#7: Chasing The Wind

Conference Room

As soon as the woman left the room, an audible sigh was heard from the doctors and interns. 

"I can't say congratulations but best of lucks", the doctors passed by her one by one. Cari ran towards her and saw a cut on her cheek. "Where did you get that?", Cari asked with concern. "Mr. Tulip wanted to give this to you. Bell-flower was not available so he changed it", Adira explained.

"Look at you all grown up!", Franken dove into the sea of people and messed with Adira's hair. "Welcome back", Adira said in a cold voice. "Yeay! You sound excited. Then, your father just has 5 more minutes to stay here. What do you want to do? Fishing? Planting flowers? Painting together?", Franken enumerated something they could do. "Your 5 minutes were wasted talking about nonsense", Galen also joined the group.

"Cari, you should be thankful for Adira. She saved you a while ago", Galen looked at Cari sternly. "Than-", Cari was cut off by Adira. "I just said something bad to her. Why should she thank me?", Adira pulled Franken to the side. Galen and Cari were left in the middle of the conference.  

"Don't forget to thank her later, the same goes with Dr. Fenette", Galen started to walk away. "I am forever grateful to them both", Cari clenched her fist and slightly made her voice louder. "That's great then", Galen glanced at her for the last time. "But, you're not burdened to always redeem. Most especially for those that you can no longer change", Galen finally disappeared from her sight. 

"Miss Doctor", a child was lost wandering in the huge building. Cari raised her head and saw her crying. "I lost my way", she started to make crying sounds. Cari went close to her and offered her hand. "Let's get you back to your room", she smiled. The young girl, seeing a gentle smile from her, took her hand and calmed down. 

Veranda

"Then, do you know what kind of place you'll end up in?", Franken leaned on the rails. 

"Who knows? I've never been there nor heard stories about it", Adira looked straight into Franken's brown eyes. "Where have you been? I heard you've been leaving your post. A doctor must always be there for the patients", Adira lectured. "Yes. Dr. Wright", Franken straighten and gave a salute. 

"I saw a member of that pirate crew", Adira opened. 

Franken stopped goofing off knowing how serious the topic was for the lady. "They will listen to you. Tell the marine to catch them. I have to do my rounds now", Adira turned her back. 

"Adira", Franken called her name. 

"If you ask me just to let it be, I won't be listening this time", Adira slightly raised her voice.

Somewhere near the Dock

"We need to leave right away. I saw marine ships, 4 of them heading here", Shachi informed as Bepo and Law landed on their ship. 

"Our eternal pose already sat. Let's go. Captain", Bepo looked at Law who seemed lost in thought. 

"You're not going anywhere", a lazy tone made Law flinch. 

"Who knew that a supernova is here as well? I just received a call from a Doctor saying that pirates are roaming here. It happened that we are also going to fetch someone", Kizaru massaged his nape. "Kizaru", Law bit his lip. "I'll be meeting you in the place we agreed upon. It's an abrupt farewell", Law used his ability.
