#4:A Lot More Passionate

Waiting Room

Adira pushed the wheelchair with Reon. The tired-looking man suddenly had his face glowing as he sees his wife and baby. 

They reunited with a gentle hug. 

"You did it", Cari gave a thumbs up. 

"Thank you very much. Doctor. We owe you our lives", the woman knelt down.  

"It was not me", Adira said with a flat tone but clenched her fists to show her defeat.  Cari tilted her head not sure of what she meant. "Oh, it's already our break time. Shall we go have a pumpkin pie or something like that? Adira wouldn't mind having free service", Cari put her arms around the girl who was quite taller than her.

"Doctors", Reon called them out.

"Thank you for taking care of me", he managed to bow his head.

"No worries. It's our work", Adira returned a polite bow and went ahead of the other lady.

"She's just shy. By the way, make sure to get your baby's immune shots. You can request for me to administer it", Cari raised her hand.

Cafeteria

Cari watched as Adira and Law held the same rice ball at the same time. They were standing n front of the food table. 

"I thought you are going to leave?", Adira said with a slight irritation in her voice.

"I didn't even have to get paid for what I did. That'll be 50,000 berries. At least, feed me for aiding your operation, Dr. Wright", Law answered while looking down at her pin. 

"This hospital offers nothing for a person like you", Adira pulled the rice ball towards her side. Law, being the rude dude, pulled it as well and dropped it straight in his mouth. 

"Hey. Don't act rude towards a new colleague", Cari flicked the lady's forehead. 

"He's no colleague Cari, he's a-", Adira was about to say something when Law stuffed bread in her mouth. "Go on and eat, you still have a lot of things to do", he said then left. Cari swayed around. 

"How I wish he'll feed me too", Cari shook Adira. 

Somewhere outside Flevance City 

The outside of the country still looks dreadful. The buildings are run down. The soil is not healthy for planting due to the white lead that is still haunting the land. 

"This is beyond our assignment. Let's go back before we even get into trouble", Galen crossed his arms while riding a carriage. 

"I didn't ask you to come with me", Franken pouted and looked outside. 

"Bepo! Don't go out". 

The carriage stopped as the horse they were using was frightened to see a polar bear in the middle of the road. 

"Stay inside, doctors. We'll deal with this right away", two of the hospital guards raised their swords. 

"Sorry for appearing all of a sudden", Bepo bowed his head. "Why are you apologizing? Get back here immediately!", Shachi and Penguin shouted having their heads popped out from the bushes as well. 

"Pirates. They're wearing a jolly roger in their suit", one of the guards was about to use a signal gun but his hand was stopped by someone on the carriage. "Let them be. They're not causing any trouble", Franken shook his head as a sign of his disapproval of chasing the pirates. "But- they are pirates", the guard protested. "I'll take full responsibility for it. Let them go", Franken smiled.
