"Wahhhh!".

"Mother!!!"

A youngster is crying in the middle of the night at the children's ward. It was just a few days ago when the ship they were on got sunk by pirates.

"What are we going to do with her? The other child is also waking because of their loud cries", one of the nurses went close to Dr. Fenette who is the team leader of the Children's Ward. She looked at the green-haired child getting paler each day. She wouldn't even eat or drink because of how devastated she was to hear that her mother cried.

She carried the 8-year-old young girl and patted her head. "Yosh~Yosh~. Cari, it's already nighttime. Young kids like you should sleep well in order to grow stronger", Dr. Fenette rocked her like a baby.

"Doctor. But..but... my mom is gone", she wailed again.

"Uhmm. I know", Dr. Fenette didn't deny the fact. The mother of the child is also a dear person close to her heart. She gripped the young girl's brown dress. "I know", she repeats. She did not try to comfort her like the other nurse who kept on telling her that she was in a better place. She's not like other people who tell the worse experience of others. She would just admit that the certain incident. It is something that they knew and yet there's nothing they can do to change that fact. After a while, Cari was put to sleep.

Dr. Fenette walked towards a large crib that the children use to prevent them from falling on the floor.

"Adira, where are you going?", Dr. Fenette caught the young girl trying to sneak out. "I'm going to follow my Mother. I don't want to get stuck with that clown", Adira had a demeanor of being such a cold person. "Your wounds are still not healed", Dr. Fenette gently dropped the sleeping Cari on the crib. "Unlike that kid, I can still be with her. I just need to follow her", Adira stepped out but Dr. Fenette picked her up like a cat and threw her on the crib. She immediately grabbed a cage-like cover for the crib to prevent Adira from leaving.

"You might now be the same with Cari but... just like her, your mother is also out of your reach", Dr. Fenette said with a sad voice. "What an idiotic thing to say. Mother said that as long as two people are under the same sky, there is always a chance to see each other", Adira crossed her arms. Dr. Fenette smiled to see how firmly she believes in her mother's words. Apple came by and knocked off Adira. "How can you say something disrespectful to Dr. Fenette!", she lectured about being respectful to a doctor.

The next day,

"Uwahhh!!! Mom!!!!".

Adira covered her ears irritated with Cari crying first thing in the morning.

"Shut up", she glared at her.

Cari looked at her and saw how scary she looked. She continued crying and this time was louder.

"Aren't you ashamed? You're already that old and yet you're bawling like a baby", Adira pointed at her. "She's still a child and so are you", Apply commented while watching the two with the staff. "This will be bad. If Cari won't eat for a few more days, her body might collapse", they reported. Apple looked at the food that was untouched by Cari and Adira. "it's not just her", Apple sighed. She wishes she can just shove it down their throats but coincidentally, the two young girls are daughters of the two duos in their hospital who are acing in their field. Dr. Wright is a great surgeon and Dr. Myer is their ace in the medicine they give to their patients.

"Having trouble again?", Dr. Fenette passed by carrying bell-flowers.

"If this goes on, the children will be fed up with them. Let's separate them", one of the nurses suggested. "No", Dr. Fenette shook her head.
