Ally/You

Ally looked across the hall from her locker, clutching her notebook close to her chest. Averting her eyes as soon as she made eye contact with the manager of the football club and co-captain of cheerleading.

"Hey, Ally!" The small blonde jumped up in surprise when someone sneaked up behind her. "D-Dinah!"

"Are you still daydreaming about walking over to talk to (Y/N)?"

"I am not," she denied which made the tall Poly smirk in amusement. "Okay, then I'll call her over here."

Ally covered Dinah's mouth before she could call her crush over to embarrass herself. The small blonde did find her friend lucky that she's in the cheerleading with (Y/N).

"You know if you don't go to her she'll be snatched up by the co-captain of the cheerleaders."

"I-I know but I'm way out of her league, DJ." She sighed while turning to face her with her locker still open.

"I can't even open my mouth for at least 3 words without turning into a complete fool. She's like a walking devil that's out to make me sin even more."

Dinah looked between the her and (Y/N), signalling the small blonde that her crush was right behind her. "Just my luck," she closed her eyes briefly before turning around.

"Hey, you two. So, Ally are you going to watch the football game tomorrow?"

"Of course she is," the Poly spoke for the blushing blonde and she wrapped an arm over her shoulder. "That's great to hear. And DJ, you better come to cheer practice later. Normani is still pissed you blew off practice the second time yesterday."

"About that (Y/N), I-I can't really go to practice."

"And why not?" Ally knew why Dinah couldn't go and she wanted to help but lying would go against her values. "I, um... Well-"

"She's needs to do some extra work for Chemistry. I-I'm going to be tutoring her." Ally said to (Y/N) who blinked a couple of times and knew it was a big deal for their coach if a cheerleader has a failing class they'd be suspended from competing.

"That is a problem," she answered and started thinking with a hand under her chin. "Alright, I'll leave Dinah in your care Ally. But once you get your grades up its back to practice."

"Ally! You're my savior!" Dinah pulled her in a hug once the co-captain walked off. "That is the last time I'm lying for you."

"But that's the first time you talked to her without stuttering or becoming a blushing mess."

Ally widened her eyes in surprise, she closed her locker with her eyes focused to the floor. Dinah was right about that part--it was certainly the first time she wasn't a complete fool.

"Why don't you just join the cheerleading? That way you'll get closer to her," she said in a matter of fact tone.

"Normani hates me DJ."

"You're exaggerating, Ally." Dinah pulled away from the hug as they both walked together to class.

"She filled my locker with insects the other day. And yesterday, she flipped my tray which caused me to smell like chili fries for half the day."
