"Can you believe Mr. Kim actually hired all four of us?" Yuta said, mopping the floor after the last movie. The boys have been working at the movie theater for a couple of weeks now, and the smell of buttery popcorn was already so familiar to them.

"I guess he really needed workers." Jaehyun said. "I totally bombed my interview." He said, cleaning up the concession.

Their co-worker, Chaeyeon, has been working there even before summer started. She helped them with their routines, and even though she was a year younger than them, they followed her orders like a mentor. She guided them through every Karen customer, popcorn spills, and just everything about the place.

"The reason why the night shift slots were open is that the last guys that worked the night shift here were caught in some assault crime. Mr. Kim fired them right away." She said. Her eyes eventually trailed at Jaehyun, who was working hard cleaning everything up. "Jaehyun, do you need any help?" She offered and smiled. Jaehyun looked up from the plexiglass and politely shook his head.

"Really? But shouldn't he have been more cautious in hiring us after the last workers' indecent?" Yuta asked, stopping for a second. "Not that we're going to commit any crimes or anything! I just expected him to be a little more strict with us, that's all." He quickly said.

"After the whole situation happened, people found out. Nobody wanted to work here. Nobody wanted to take the night shift. Business was a little low during the night, so he really needed people to work." Chaeyeon responded, her eyes still stuck on Jaehyun. "The rumor was that the only reason those guys applied for the job was because they heard that Mr. Kim's daughter was going to work the night shift too."

"So they applied just because they just wanted to see some girl?" Ten asked, confused.

"Mr. Kim's daughter, you can say she's very well-known. I got to meet her because she used to work here, but her father made her quit after the whole assault incident with the guys." Chaeyeon explained. The boys listened very well, they never heard this type of news before. "He didn't want her experiencing what happened to the victim of those guys. It's really sad what happened, to be honest." She said, getting up from the lobby bench.

"That's terrible. I hope those sick bastards are in jail." Taeyong said.

"I'm not really sure what happened to them after. My mom tried making me quit after what happened but I convinced her we really needed the money." She said. She walked over to Jaehyun who was wiping the glass display with a rag. "I don't think working here is so bad now, to be honest." She looked Jaehyun in the eyes but he immediately broke it and gave a small smile. He walked back into the kitchen to wash the rag and clean other things in the back. Chaeyeon sighed as she couldn't get through him.

"You've been all over Jaehyun ever since the first day." Ten said in a snarky tone.

"He's just a little shy, he can grow to like you." Taeyong said, trying to cheer her up.

"I doubt it. He dodges my moves on him all the time! Maybe I should just give it up. I'm his junior anyway." She frowned.

Ten chuckled. "He's oblivious as hell. Anything a girl would try to hint at him, he'd think it's just a person being nice."

"If you really like him then try being more direct. He really doesn't have experience in these kinds of things." Yuta added.

"Thanks guys." She smiled at the three. "But you have to promise you'll never speak of this to him!" She said, a little embarrassed.

"Lips are sealed, Chaeyeon." Ten said, and they continued to close up shop and go home.

The following day was Sunday. The theater closed three hours earlier, so they finished cleaning early and decided just to talk until it was time to close up shop for the night. Taeyong sat on top of the plexiglass, and the rest of them were on the lobby benches. However, Jaehyun had the duty of checking the money report and he went into his ticket box room to concentrate on counting.
