Hurricane Phoebe : 10

JJ's pov:
     It's officially been a month since Hailey's surgery. She's been doing pretty well. Although she's still not surfing, she's been dancing. She's also been teaching Kie and Sarah. Watching Hailey dance just does something to me. It's fucking hot.
     "Hurricane Phoebe is supposed to make landfall tonight around 9." Pope says interrupting Hailey, Sarah, and Kie's dance lessons.
     "Is it bad or...?" Kie asks not too fazed continuing to dance.
     "It's about like Agatha." He says. I look over at Hailey and she looks uncomfortable. She looks at me and quickly changes her expression to hide the fact she looked uncomfortable.
     "Gotcha." Sarah says stopping to take a drink.
     "Every time there's been a hurricane my family has always left the state." Hailey says sitting in between me and John B. I wrap my arm around her shoulder and kiss her forehead. "So how bad are they?"
     "They suck yes, but it's nothing we can't handle babes." Kie says to comfort Hailey.
     "Just don't go surf the surge you two." Pope says to Hailey and John B. I gave him a death stare. Pope froze, and everyone was silent. I heard Hailey giggle and I looked at her confused. She was about to fall off the couch from laughing so hard.
     "What are you laughing about H?" Sarah said smiling at seeing Hailey laugh. It's the first time she's laughed in a long time. It was refreshing.
     "Watching... everyone tense up... when Pope said that!" She was dying at this point. Sarah and Kie are laughing with her. Eventually we all start laughing and it feels amazing. Like everything is back to normal.
     "Let's go out on the marsh." John B says.
     "Down!" Hailey says excitedly as she stood up.
     "Same here, I gotta go change first." Sarah says walking to her room. We all walk in our rooms to go change into our swimsuits. Hailey changes right in front of me. I just sit and watch her change.
     "Take a picture it'll last longer." She says not turning around to look at me. I guess she could feel my eyes on her.
     "Oh trust me I would." I walk up behind her and grab her hips. I'm still fully clothed but Hailey, however, is not. Not complaining or anything!
     "JJ we don't have time, even though I want to." She says putting on her bikini top. I groan and she just laughs.
"Fix your friend before you come out, I'll be out on the boat." She said kissing me on the cheek and walking out.

Sarah's pov:
Hailey and I were out on the boat together waiting for everyone else. We brought out the cooler with beers and cracked two open. One for each of us.
     "So how are you and JJ?" I say raising my eyebrows and taking a sip of my beer.
     "Good, why?" She says curiously.
     "It's not what I meant H. I meant how's the sex! I need something juicy! Kiara never tells me anything anymore. I need details or at least something." I say excitedly. She blushes but replies.
     "It's definitely amazing." She says smiling.
     "Oh come on I need details!"
     "Sarah!"
     "What? I see the way you two have been looking at each other. Especially JJ when he watches you dance. He looks like he just wants mount you right there." Hailey's jaw drops.
     "Sarah Cameron!" I just shrug.
     "It's true H. All jokes aside he really does love you. Even though JJ and I aren't the closest. I know how he used to look at random hookups years ago, compared to how he looks at you. They would absolutely have no fucking chance." Hailey smiles and drinks her beer. Soon the others make their way to the boat.

Pope's pov:
JJ and Hailey are cuddling up next to each other on the bow. John B and Sarah are driving the boat. Kie and I are cuddling on the seat. It's crazy to think how far we've all come. When we first started looking for the gold, when Sarah first became one of us, when Hailey joined us, and all the things before, in between, and after. We really have come a long way.
Now we are going off to college! Hailey and I are leaving really soon, a little over a month. It pains me to leave Kie and the rest of the Pogues, but I know it's for the best. I need to turn my life around and I think Hailey feels the same way.
If we wouldn't have found the gold we all would be in trouble, especially Hailey. Medical school is expensive and so is Penn State in general. She hasn't told us what she is aiming to be. She did however say she was going into the medical field.
     "Hey Hailey." I say calling over to her. She turns her head to look at me.
     "Yes?"
     "Are you ever going to tell us what your going to do? Like as a job. You told us your going into the medical field but you never told us exactly what." She stands up and everyone looks at her. John B stops the boat in our usual spot.
     "Well I planned on telling you all this when I left with Pope at the airport, but might as well do it now. I'm going to become a surgeon. Specifically... I don't know yet. I'm thinking about Pediatric but who knows. My mind may change by then." We are all shocked. John B and Kie's jaws are dropped. Sarah has wide eyes. JJ just looks normal, like he already knew.
     "Why do you not look shocked JJ? Did she already tell you?" Sarah asks laughing slightly.
     "No she didn't tell me. I just think that she would be good at it. It definitely seems like a job that would suit her well. She's always had steady hands a-" Kie bursts out laughing along with Sarah and John B. I was clueless to what he meant until I replayed his statement in my head. I began laughing as well. Hailey is firetruck red and frozen in place and JJ is just smiling.
     "I hate all of you. Especially you JJ." Hailey says as she takes off her jean shorts and jumping in the water; saluting us before she falls in.
     "Hey I didn't mean in it like that." He yells before she goes under. "Even though it's true" he mumbles. I don't think anyone heard him say that except me. JJ takes off his shirt and jumps in the water with Hailey.

JJ's pov:
     We all have a fun time on the boat. We see the storm starting to roll in so we go back to the château. We drop off Pope and Kie at their houses. Sarah decides to take John B back to her house. Where Rose, Rafe, and Wheezie are. She called Wheezie and she said Rafe was staying at Kelce's. That meant Hailey and I were alone in the château.
     "JJ?" Hailey says as we lay on our bed cuddling.
     "Yes baby?"
     "Promise me you won't leave my side tonight."
     "I promise Hails. I won't let anything bad happen to you." I kiss her head after I finish. It's starting to rain harder now and I hear Hailey sniff.
     "Don't cry babygirl." My heart breaks every time I hear or see Hailey cry. She flips over and lays on my chest crying. I sit up and pull her on my lap. She straddles me. I hug her until she stops crying.
     "I'm sorry." She says pulling away from our hug. She still has her arms around my neck.
     "Don't apologize. I understand why your scared." I say grabbing her hips in a loving way. She kisses me. It leads to us making out. I'm on top of her and we start taking off each others the clothes. I stop and stand up. She sends me a dazed and confused look. I smirk and she stands up.
I push her up against the wall and kiss her roughly. -y'all know what happens-
I love Hailey I really do. I never thought I would be capable of love. Hailey fell asleep on my chest naked. It felt nice having her skin on skin with me. I'm glad she fell asleep otherwise she might be scared shitless. Before I knew it I drifted off to sleep along with her.

hey loves this was kind of a filler chapter since i had a huge writers block but I promise the chapters after this will be more interesting!!
