"Now that Randy Ronson's autopsy has revealed the ugly truth," Ellio said, as he stood next to Alice Smith. Caia watched him on the TV, almost livid. Just the sight of Ellio made her angry.

"And what truth is that?" Alice questioned, holding the microphone out to Ellio.

"That he was indeed taking performance enhancing drugs." Caia hummed. She had known it. "Provided by his competitor, Archie Andrews." Caia's eyes narrowed. What a bullshit excuse for a human. Ellio supplied the drugs to Randy, effectively killing him, and decided the best thing to do was pass the blame to Archie.

She hated him.

"He said that?" Betty exclaimed, clearly shocked at Caia's recounting of the previous day at the Farm.

Caia nodded. She and Betty were waiting in line to get their Menegitis shots at the school. "Seems like both the Evernevers have me on their radar for some reason. Not sure what the hell they want from me, though."

Betty glanced up toward the ceiling, contemplating. After a moment, she looked back down. "Honestly, Caia, I have no idea either. What would they even gain from you joining?" Caia shrugged. Betty sighed and crossed her arms. "Well, recruitment plotting aside, Toni told me this morning that Edgar's planning to adopt the twins after the wedding."

Caia's eyes widened. "Oh no," She breathed. "We can't let that happen."

Betty nodded. "Yeah, I'm not planning on it."

Just as Betty finished, one of the secretaries exited the room where the vaccines were being administered. She gasped as she saw Evelyn, who happened to be walking down the hallway at the same time. "Evelyn," she greeted. "Have you already received your meningitis vaccination?" She inquired.

Evelyn glanced over at Betty and Caia who were quietly observing the scene. "No," she answered. "The Farm doesn't beleive in putting foreign substances into our bodies. You can check my file. My father wrote Mr. Weatherbee a letter opting me out of all elective medical procedures." The secretary sighed and turned away to walk down the hall. She was obviously not pleased with Evelyn's choice.

Caia and Betty watched as Evelyn continued down the hall. "Check my file," Betty repeated. She glanced over at Caia. "I think we just might."

Later that night, Caia and Betty broke back into the school. Each had a flashlight. A storm was brewing outside, the thunder giving the mission a more mysterious feel.

At the door of the administration office, Betty pulled a bobby pin from her hair and stuck it into the door lock. After a few moments of jamming and jiggling, the lock and door slid open. Betty snuck in, Caia following closely behind and softly shutting the door behind her.

Betty made her way behind the office desk and slid open the drawer containing some of the student files. Caia beamed her flashlight on the files as Betty thumbed through them, pulling out Evelyn's file and setting it on the desk. Caia used her light to illuminate the pages as Betty turned them.

"Transferred from St. Joe's prep," Betty read before taking out her phone and snapping a picture of the document. She did this for most of the files before returning the file. Then, Caia and Betty snuck back out of the room and to the Blue and Gold pffice, where they knew no one would bother them.

Betty and Caia split the task of calling each of the schools Evelyn had transferred from. It was becoming a reoccurring pattern to see that she continuosly transferred from the 11th grade.
