Caia knew that Veronica, Cheryl, and Toni were planning to break into the Ghoulie's Jingle Jangle lab in the basement of the Whyte Wyrm to get blackmailing material, but she declined to join. She didn't want to go anywhere near that gang, not after what they had done and the threats they had made.
A few days later, she had just gotten home from school and was looking forward to relaxing in her bedroom a little bit before she had to go to Veronica's opening night. However, those plans were ruined by what she found.
Noah, her mother's creepy high school friend, was sitting on her bed. Caia glared at him, partly freaked out and partly disgusted. "What the hell are you doing in here?" She demanded.
Noah turned to her and smiled, seemingly unfazed by the girl's anger. "Oh, hi Caia. I didn't hear you come in."
"You think I give a shit?" Caia shot back. "You're creeping in my room, and I'm not even home!" She stepped out of the doorway and pointed her finger towards the hallway. "Now get the hell out."
Noah slowly stood up from the bed and strolled over to where Caia was standing. "You shouldn't be so uptight, Caia. I was just getting a lay of the land."
Caia took a step back from the boy, who had come just a little too close for comfort. "You've been in my house for two weeks, and you're just now getting a 'lay of the land?'" She crossed her arms over her chest and glared up at Noah. "This is my house, and I would appreciate it if you would respect my privacy and stay out of my room."
"You got it, boss," Noah replied, jokingly saluting at Caia.
As he started to exit the room, Caia called one thing after him. "Hey, Noah!" She began. The boy turned back to face her. "Your track record isn't doing so hot so far. If you want to continue living in this house, you better shape it up."
Noah didn't reply. Instead, he smirked and continued walking towards the stairs.
Caia sighed and flopped face first on to her bed. She really didn't like the idea of some strange boy living in her house, especially when he was as creepy as Noah was. She had no idea what the kid was capable of, and that scared her very much.

The next night Caia was standing in her room, clad in an off the shoulder, knee length, black swing dress complete a simple waist cinching belt and a string of pears. She had just finished applying her lipstick when the doorbell rang. Reggie.
"Coming!" She yelled, sitting down on her bed and pulling on her heels. She just finished buckling the strap on the second shoe when she heard the door creak open. Caia's eyebrows furrowed. Reggie didn't usually come in on his own.
She stood up, grabbed her clutch and hurried out of her room and down the stairs. When Caia got to the bottom, she was met with the soft of Noah holding the door open, basically blocking Reggie from entering her house.
Reggie looked up as he heard Caia approach. "C, thank god. Can you tell this dude that I'm your boyfriend so he will let me in?"
"Noah, let him in. He is my boyfriend," Caia confirmed.
Noah reluctantly stepped away from the door, allowing Caia to step forward and meet Reggie with a kiss on the lips. Reggie intertwines his fingers with Caia and glanced down at her lovingly. "You look beautiful, mi amor," he complimented.
Caia brought her free hand up and patted Reggie on the chest. "You're not so bad yourself, Reg." Reggie beamed down at her.
Suddenly, Noah cleared his throat, causing the couple to break apart, but not unlock their hands. "Sorry to crash the party, but I have some buddies coming over in a few. I would suggest you get going before then," he informed. "I don't think you want to be around these guys." Caia gulped. What did that mean?
