||~Chapter 4~||

|~Blyke~|

"Do you see what I mean?"

Staring at the magenta haired girl, her eyes simply narrowed, eyes scanning the evidence I had pointed out. The pen, the ribbon, the lightning strike on her chest.

"You missed the red hair in her hand," was all that she said, eyes passive as she risked a glance to the ravenette talking to Isen. "My guess is that this is what ties you into the case, if I'm right, you're fingerprints would be scattered around her arms, probably to frame you pinning her down while she grabbed your hair."

Jeez- how is she so specific.

"We don't have anything to test for fingerprints," I began, thinking about it. "And how exactly would they be able to replicate my hair? Who would even go through suck risks to make sure we passed through here?" Questions began to swarm my head, and I felt myself begin to lose sense as I considered the possibilities. Was there someone that possibly wanted us in jail?

"Are you really gonna ask about the hair?" Seraphina spoke, raising an eyebrow as she rolled her eyes. "Blyke we live in a world full of abilities, you'd be surprised what some of them would be. Besides that, who said anyone replicated it?" With that, she kneeled in front of the body, staring at the twig. "Now, the only things that don't match are the twig and pen. How did she get ahold of the pen? And who's fingerprints are on the twig."

Staring at the others who sat down staring at the floor, I shrugged once again. A little swell of emptiness beating into my chest as I noticed their expressions. I didn't feel sad, or scared- I just felt...

Empty.

Shrugging the feeling off, I looked back at Seraphina. "So... what do we do?"

She stood back up, looking almost as confused as I was. "We do exactly what everyone else would do when they're in a situation like this, we have to hide the body." She rubbed her forehead, as if tired. "But, considering that we still need to find out who was trying to frame you three, we should probably keep some of the evidence. Does anyone have plastic bags?"

How does she know all this stuff?

Nobody would have plastic bags, so I shook my head. "I don't think so- isn't there somehow we could carry it instead?"

"If you want to mess with the fingerprints, sure, we should probably just get someone to retrieve a bunch of stuff." She looked up to the sky, darkening as the evening continued on. "Trust me, we are gonna be here for a while. Get someone to retrieve plastic bags, gasoline, lighter, and probably a shovel. Ugh, I wish one of us had our license already, we really need a car."
