Soooo, long time since I've written no? I've kinda missed it, so I'm gonna make a new story :3 First if all I wanna thank anyone who read and endured my first story, 'What If'. There were certainly a few mishaps on that story, and the grammar...? Uhm, rather not talk bout that. Anyways, I've decided to write a more action mystery one, with a bit of romance, but you'll see along the way.

Anyways, enjoy! Comments or criticism is much appreciated, and if you have any questions, just dm me. Thanks for reading!

Also- there's a tad bit of gore, so if you can't stand that stuff, I wouldn't recommend reading the prologue. It isn't that much, but I know how some people can't stand any of it.

Remi was shaking.

Hands outstretched, she kneeled down. Blyke couldn't tell whether it was the wind lashing violently through the trees that was the cause of the shaking, or...

"We s-shouldn't be here-" Is all that Isen said as he took a step back, the oak trees standing their ground as they cast a shadow over all of them. The grass brustled with Isens footsteps, a log cutting him off to a halt. The whistling of the trees was the only sound as the defeaning silence between the three continued.

Yet Remi continued to look fazed, stuck in the position as her pupils dilated, getting ever so smaller. Breathing grower faster, Blyke put a hand to her shoulder, his gaze directed on her, only her.

Not the thing she was staring at.

"Look," Isens voice was hoarse, his hands shaking ever so slightly, "We need to t-tell the authority's! They'll know what to do, they'll know what's going on, they can help us-"

"Help us?"

Surprisingly, it was Remi who stood up, her eyes unleashing a fury once they landed on Isen. "Wake up! If anything, the authority's have a equal chance of being the cause of this!" Balling her hands into fists, she didn't turn around to face it again, taking a few steps to face the quivering Isen. She was obviously thinking of Rei, her dear brother murdered by what they thought to be the authorities. Of course she couldn't trust them, no, not after what they had done.

"B-but then who do we tell?" Isens voice cracked, his vulnerability becoming visible with every one of Remi's steps. "This is serious, we're just h-high schoolers, we don't know what to do..."

Not seeming to listen to his words, Remi put her hands around Isens shoulders. "Of course it's a serious i-issue." She fumbled with her words, staring down at the ground, he wasn't the only one affected. "But I don't think they're someone we should tell just yet- we need to... to figure out who did this first... or find someone that we can trust and... tell..."

"Yeah sure," Isen choked out, tears burning at the end of his eyes. "We can totally go up to someone and tell them we found a dead body in the woods. Totally tell them we were just wandering out for no reason, and we found this... t-this fucking girl impaled with one of the branches. Totally, totally, t-totally-"
