Melody's POV

I walked up the stairs, heading for the Girl's Dorm Rooms. I opened the door, and prepared for the worst.

The room wasn't as bad as I had expected, the beds looked comfortable and there were blinds you could pull to the side to get privacy. Thank the gods.

I found the bed that was mine, and found that my things had been brought up here already.

"Hello!" I turned my head, and saw a girl with soft yellow hair and blue eyes, sitting on the bed next to mine.

"My name is Daphne Greengrass!" She exclaimed.

I was just about to make a sassy comment, when I realized that I'd be stuck with her for the rest of the year, so I better try to be friendly.

"Lovely to meet you, I'm Melody Bethell." I reached out to shake her hand.

"I know! Everyone was watching when you and your friends were being sorted. Why were you yelling at the hat?"

"Because it was being mean. Do you know when we will be able to socialize with the rest of the houses?" I put on my most friendly smile, and tried my best to seem kind.

"Well, we have some classes with some of the other houses, and we're allowed to meet during breaks and such. Maybe even after classes are over, but I don't know. I don't really hang out with anyone that's not a Slytherin." She smiled perfectly at me, and skipped out of the room.

Annabeth's POV

"...And remember to double check that you have everything you need before you leave, if you forget something you might get stuck at the door." The prefect chuckled. "Now head to you dorms!"

I walked over to the door leading to the Girl's Dorm Rooms, I found my own bed, and was almost pleased. I saw my things lying on and next to the bed, and decided to look through it. I felt sort of sad that none of the others were in Ravenclaw. They all had someone else, Percy, Travis and Connor were in the same house, and Nico and Melody were both in Slytherin. I'll have to make new friends.

Suddenly the door opened, and a girl with long blonde hair, and silvery grey eyes walked in.

"Hello, I'm Annabeth Chase." I said, holding out my hand for her to shake.

"I'm Luna Lovegood, nice to meet you." She smiled, her grip was very loose, and her voice sounded distant, but she still seemed as if she cared.

"I guess we're roomates then." I awkwardly chuckled.

"Yes, I guess we are." She smiled, and sat down on her bed.

I countinued going through my things, making sure everything was there, when she asked,

"Are you trying out for the Quidditch Team?"

"What's quidditch?" I questioned, turning to face her.

"You haven't heard of it? It's loads of fun, but I prefer watching rather than play." She answered, and then she told me all about the intriguing sport.

Percy's POV

"..And do remember to have fun, but not too much!" The prefect, Hermione Granger, smiled, finishing her explanation of the rules, and the dormitories.

I pulled Travis and Connor with me to the dorms, and found that we were sleeping in the same room. The beds looked comfortable, and our things had already been brought up, and put on our beds. We started unpacking when two boys our age entered the room. The first to enter was a boy with blazing orange hair, and blue eyes. Behind him entered a guy with black hair, bright green eyes and a pair of circled glasses positioned on his nose. Their laughing faded as they noticed us by our beds.

"Hello again!" Connor exclaimed, a bright smile on his face. "We met on the train, remember?"

"Yes, I do remember. How is it going?" Ronald, the redhead, answered, looking at the three of us awkwardly.

Connor had leaped from his position from the floor when the two of them entered, and had extended his hand for Ronald to shake. Travis was spread on his bed, and trying to decide wether this was a good time to have a nap, and I was sat with my legs tangled on the floor, studying my school books, wondering how on earth I was going to be able to learn all of this.

"Well, it's certainly going." I replied, standing up, and turning to the duo who was still standing in the doorway, as if feeling very uncomfortable about entering the room. They finally looked at each other, and then went to their separate beds.

"Uhh, what..school did you go to before you came here?" Harry said, trying to get a conversation going. He turned his head to me with a sudden curious look on his face.

"Which school? You probably haven't heard of it, it's called..." I looked at Travis with wide eyes, having no idea how to answer his question, but Travis just closed his eyes, apparently having decided that this was the time to have a nap. I looked back at Harry, who was patiently waiting for an answer.

"..Gnosis! It's called Gnosis." I finally told him. "Greek for knowledge."

"Cool." He said, smiling lightly. "Are you trying out for the Quidditch team? I'm captain this year."

Connor looked at Harry oddly, asking him, "What's Quidditch?"

Ron's eyes widened, and he walked a little closer to Connor, a shocked expression plastered on his face.

"You haven't heard of Quidditch?" It was clear that Quidditch was common knowledge around here.

"Quidditch is only the greatest sport ever invented!" He exclaimed, and then he described the rules, and everything else one would need to know about the game.

"That does sound fun, but it not exactly my kind of thing." I said, thinking that flying is one of the few things I'm terrified of, because of my uncle.

"Oh, why is that?" Harry questioned, looking curious once again.

"I just don't really.." I hesitated, attempting to find the right words. "...like it."

I am so sorry! I have been gone for ages, and this chapter is not very long, but there is one in the making, and I promise that it's better. Thank you for reading my story!
