"It's gonna be okay, Sho.." Midoriya whispered in my ear, cuffing me to keep me from hurting someone.

I felt as if my whole world had slowed down.

"G-Get the fuck off me!! Katsuki!!!" I yelled.  I don't know what I expected.  He wasn't coming back.

I felt something hard hit my head.  It stung.  My vision became hazy and I fell to the ground.

With what was left of my vision, I looked up, seeing Midoriya with his gun.

Was I shot too? I can't tell.

-

My eyes opened and I shot up, breathing heavily.

"K-Katsuki.. Katsuki.." I looked around, wiping the tears from my eyes.

I was shaking, mumbling Katsuki's name over and over as I put my shoes on, not bothering to put on different clothes.

I ran downstairs, grabbing Father's keys off the table.

It was still early in the morning, he shouldn't be awake yet.

I went to the car, not caring how loud I was.

I jumbled to find the right key, shoving it in the ignition and starting the engine.  I fixed the seat, so my legs could reach the pedals, then I fixed the mirrors.

Right, Left, Middle.

As I fixed the middle, I noticed by disheveled hair.  I brought my shaking hand up to what was supposed to be the white part of my hair.

I touched it, feeling the dry, crusty blood in my now-red locks.

I bit down hard on my lip, tears welling up in my eyes.  I sounded like a tea kettle before erupting into a loud wail.

He really is dead.

-

I took a deep breath, wiping my eyes and gripping the steering wheel.  My whole body was shaking.

I put the stick in drive, slamming my foot down on the gas pedal.

I have to see him.  I have to see him one more time.

I'm not entirely sure how to get there, but I recognize the scenery from every time I've looked out the window.

I hit a speed bump, and the glove compartment popped open.  Father's wallet was in it.  I grabbed it quickly, keeping my eyes on the road.

I pulled up to the prison, not bothering to park correctly.

I rushed inside, looking like a complete mess.  I saw the officer that would always watch Katsuki's room while he was hurt.

I ran to him, tears flowing.

"S-Sir.. Sir you know me.." I showed him my badge.  "Yesterday uhm.." I gulped, the words getting caught in my throat.  I started breathing heavily and tears came out.

He gave me an odd look as I fell to my knees.  He cautiously bent down to the same height, holding my shoulders.

"Listen kid," He shuffled his hand in his pocket, giving me a keycard, "Morgue is just down the road. If you can get in with this, they'll show you anything you want."

My lips parted and I looked up at him, before taking the card.

"How did you.."

"You look like a mess.  N' it's not like word doesn't spread around here." He stood up and brushed his pants.

"Now hurry kid before they bury him in that nasty prison yard."

I scrambled to my feet and ran for the door.

"Th-Thank you!"

I hopped back in the car, driving to the morgue.

I got out, running to the door and sliding the keycard in it.  Once it opened, I ran to a man sitting at a table in front of another door.

"E-Excuse me.."

He looked up from the magazine he was reading, glaring at me.

"Are you lost, kid? How'd you get in here..?" He stood up, ready to walk me to the exit.

"No no! I have this!" I showed him my keycard, and my badge.

"I need to.. see someone. That is if they're still here.  Uh.. Katsuki Bakugou?" I kept my badge held up, my hand shaking.

Saying his name in full like that hit me like a truck.  I bit my lip, managing to keep my tears in this time.

"..Okay. Follow me." The old guy took his keys and unlocked the door.  I followed behind him, down the stairs into a cold room.

A bunch of tiny metal doors lined the wall.  He looked at the names on each one before opening the very last door.

He pulled out a tray, and on top was a white sheet.  I went over to it, the tears about to come out.

"Is.. Is this him?"

"See for yourself, kid."

I gripped the end of the white sheet, taking a deep breath before pulling it back.

It was him.. My Katsuki.

I gasped, turning around and covering my face.

"No no no.. It's not him it's not him.."

I slowly turned to look at the lifeless body again, ready to confirm that it wasn't him.

I was wrong.  It is him.

"Katsuki..." A tear slipped down my cheek onto his face.  I was expecting him to flinch at the feeling of it, but he didn't.

Silly of me, isn't it?

"His body isn't claimed yet so we're putting him in the prison yard."

"What? No. How do I claim him?"

"It's expensive, to claim him and then to give him a proper burial and I'm sure you don't have that kind of-"

I slammed my Father's credit card on the counter.

"..money." He finished.

"I don't care how much it is. I'm claiming him and his belongings and he's going the get the burial exactly how I fucking want it."

He nodded slowly, rushing around, grabbing a few papers.  He walked over to the other side of the room, unlocking one of the lockers.

"His belongings are in here. Take them whenever you need.  When you're ready, we'll go upstairs to sign some papers and pay for it."

A small smile tugged at my lips.  I looked back at Katsuki, putting my hand in his hair.

It was still soft.

My eyes trailed down, catching the gunshot wounds in his chest.  My breath hitched and my eyes quickly moved on to his hands.

Those hands.. the hands that held me every day. The  hands that held me while we made love.  The hands that grasped my hands.  The hands that reassured me that everything was going to be fine..

I touched his hand, slowly entangling my fingers with his one last time. His skin was ice cold. They weren't reassuring anymore.  Nothing is going to be fine.

I want to feel his warm hands, not cold ones. But it'll never happen again.

I lifted the sheet up.  This is the last time I'm going to see him.  My Katsuki.

"I love you.. Goodnight Katsuki.." My voice cracked.  I leaned down, pressing my lips to his cold, blue lips.

I'll never feel those lips against mine again.

I put the sheet back up, letting the tears roll down my cheeks.

Goodbye, Katsuki.
