The older man waited at the stairs, watching me part ways with my now ex lover.
I turned to him with a sigh, holding the tears back as best as I could.
"Okay uhm.. I'm ready now." He nodded and led me up to his office, pulling out a chair for me. I sat, watching as he sat across from me and placing the papers on the table.
"All you have to do is sign these here," he pointed to signature lines on a few papers, "and then I'll go get you his belongings and have you pay."
"Thanks.." I read the papers, not really caring about what they had said. I picked up the pen, beginning to sign the papers when my phone had begun ringing.
I picked it up, reading off Father's caller ID. I immediately declined the call, wanting nothing to do with the old bastard.
I continued to sign the papers, ignoring the incoming calls from a man I don't even want to call my Father.
"Okay.. I'm finished.."
He took the papers, handing me a smaller piece of paper.
"This is if you want to request a proper burial for him, although it does cost extra. You have 30 days to think about-"
I quickly signed off on the paper.
"I don't need to think about it." I slid him the paper, along with Father's credit card.
"I see.. I'll charge you real quick and get you his things." He got up, bowing his head to me before leaving the room.
I quickly grew tired of the non-stop ringing coming from my phone.
I angrily answered the call, my lips quivering.
"What the fuck do you want?" My tone was sharp, but on the verge of cracking.
"Where the hell are you, Shouto?!" His voice boomed through the phone.
"Why does it matter to you? You killed him. You killed my Katsuki. Why? Why did you have to take my only happiness away from me? You aren't my Father. You're a fucking bastard, you hypocrite. Just because Mother was taken from you, doesn't mean you have to take my lover too."
"That disgrace of a human is not your lover. Come
home right now and don't even think about bringing your Mother into this!!""Fuck you. I hope you rot in hell some day. And I hope that day comes soon." I hung up on him, dropping my head onto the table.
I sniffled, the tears slowly coming out. I cried like a baby that just had it's candy taken away from him.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and I quickly sat straight, wiping my tears. In front of me was a plastic bag full of Katsuki's belongings, along with Father's credit card.
"Th..Thank you.." I stood up, giving a slight bow to the man before grabbing everything.
"I'll give you a call on the date."
I nodded. I knew I would be the only one watching Katsuki get buried, but that's alright..
I'm going to visit him everyday.
I headed to the car with his belongings, setting them in the passenger seat. I noticed myself in the mirror, trying to fix my disheveled appearance.
Katsuki would definitely laugh if he saw me like this.
Remembering his chuckle put a small smile on my face.
I buckled the seat belt, about to pull out of the parking lot before I noticed the photo of Katsuki and I in the bag.
I reached for it, flipping it over to see his writing.
I remembered his words.
"Read this on the day I die."
Sorry Katsuki.. I'm a bit late aren't I?
