Oh my liquid sunshine !

Oh you liquid sunshine !
Do you hear my shouts over your
Relentless mighty downpour on
Our thirsty realm ?
Please teach me, how to burst the grief out.
Why do my eyes not bleed
When my heart never stops ?

Oh my liquid sunshine, whisper to me
Your secret of gushing on the stream of
Those pearls that bury themselves in earth,
And then are reborn as wildflowers.
So that these oceans drowning my lungs
Will break through my windows and doors,
Drenching everything but my cold soul.

Except that my pearls decayed long ago.
And even if a way finds a pore
Will I shower like you, diamonds and gold?
I am afraid that I won't.
For, if and when finally my cloud breaks,
Cyanide will flow like acid burning holes,
Through every soft warm sweater that
Lies abandoned on the floor,
And plunge every breath but mine.

Oh my liquid sunshine !
Will you then please let me borrow from
Your eternal bottomless well;
And quench this thirst that eyes yearn;
For my jar sits empty on this dusty shelf,
Awaiting just a drop, only to be shed.
