Mattias pov I looked up at the large hotel that had a large sign that read 'heartbreak hotel' the pain was chipped and it looked as if it hadn't been updated for ages. Not that I minded, as long as I had a place to stay that wasn't near home. After I parked in front of the hotel I slung my heavy backpack over my shoulder along with the one in my hand. They both had my clothes and valuables I needed, I didn't care about the things left back at the house. I made sure to set up my own bank account my father didn't have access to but I still had access to his which I got the money from. He just didn't know that, he probably wouldn't find out either.
I walked through the sliding doors scanning my eyes around the large lobby. The carpet floor was a deep red that looked worn out. It was pretty empty besides the few chairs that were placed on each side of the room along with a large marble desks that was placed in the back. I also noticed the single elevator that was connected to one side of the wall. The place gave off a weird vibe but I didn't question it, it was probably just old. Nor was I complaining at all, it was affordable and was a place I could stay.
I soon became confused seeing there was no one behind the front desk. I looked around still seeing no one. I leaned by arms against the desks tapping my hands against the cold marble, I'd just have to wait. Soon enough I heard a faint voice call out from beside me.
"I'm sorry." The small boy said out of breath now standing behind the desk with both his hands on his hips, looking down. He finally looked up at me, his dark brown hair falling on each side of his forehead. I noticed how he didn't say anything, instead he stared at me, taking in my looks. I took the time to do the same, scanning my eyes along his petite figure that was covered in a light brown oversized hoodie and light washed cuffed jeans. I was at least a foot taller as I towered over him. He had soft features that flattered his face. He was undeniably cute, anyone could see that. Everything about him screamed pure. Something I wasn't nor was used to.
"You're good." I said flatly. I watched as he quickly looked down at the computer in front of him typing on the keyboard. I stuck my hands in my pockets becoming impatient. He looked back up at me finally giving me the key to my room. I noticed how his cheeks were painted a light pink, he was probably nervous around me. Wasn't a first, I was definitely not an approachable person and came off rude. Which I liked that way, talking to people wasn't my forte. I'd rather keep to myself.
"Um your room is number elevator on t-the first f-floor." He stuttered shaking his head afterwards. I couldn't help but find it kind of cute. I looked at him not reacting to the small mess up. I took the key from his hand nodding my head, turning towards the elevator. Once I got inside I couldn't help but wonder why I made the boy at the front desk so nervous, yeah I came off intimidating but I barely spoke. I sorta felt bad cause he seemed so innocent and gentle. But at the same time I was pleased with the way he reacted to me, it made me feel eminent.
The elevator ringed opening all the way. I took a step into the hallway seeing the red carpet that was the same as it was in the lobby. I walked until I stopped at room eleven. I pushed the key into the medal lock on the door waiting until the light turned green. Once it did I disregarded my backpacks on the floor, looking around the small simple room. There was a single large bed in the middle of the room with tidy white sheets. In front was a small old tv that looked as if it was made in the early 90s. There was a small bathroom with white tile along with a narrow shower instead of a built in bath and shower. It was definitely simple and I could see why it didn't get much service.
I sighed taking off my shirt and slides so I was left in only my necklace and sweats. I felt extremely tired once my face hit the pillow. Soon enough I fell asleep with the lights on not thinking twice about anything else. I'd get to wake up for the first time without worrying about my parents and it was relieving.
I made this so you guys can get Mattias perspective on seeing Kairi for the first time so yeah make sure to vote and comment for the next update😙
