Her Choice [Mako]

-Chapter 2: Korra -

~ Athyna's p.o.v ~

With an hour left till the matches started I found myself on a boat heading towards Air Temple island. I made my way up the flight of stairs and the next thing I knew I was tackled to the ground by three adorable kids.

"Athyna!" they all shouted in unison.

"Hello." I said as I let out a chuckle.

"What are you doing here?" asked Jinora.

"Actually i'm looking for your dad."

"Athyna, what are you doing here?" I heard a familiar voice call out. I stood up only for my eyes to meet Tenzin's.

"Hi... Tenzin." i said with a cheesy smile and scrathed the back of my neck. He just pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head."Is it okay if I stay here for the time being?"

"Of course." He gestred for me to follow him.

Tenzin and his family are few of the little people I knew outside of Kyoshi island. I followed him through the dining room where I saw Pema and gave her a soft smile in which she returned. He led me to the girls wing and showed me to my room. I set down my stuff and flopped on the bed.

"Dinner will be ready shortly." he announced.

"Sorry Tenzin but I can't stay for dinner. I have somewhere I need to be in less than  an hour."

"Okay, but dont be out too late."

"I know the drill Tenzin." and I waved him off before heading out the door.

I ran my way over to the arena. I continued to rush my way to the locker room but before i got there I knocked over Bolin.

"Oh my spirits! I'm so sorry Bolin, are you alright?" I stated as I quickly stood up. I gestured my hand out to help, which he excepted.

"Yeah I'm fine. I guess its like pay back for hitting you earlier." he gave out a nervous chuckle and scratched the back of his neck.

"Yeah, I gue-" before I could finish my sentence both of our focus was the yelling that came from the training room. We made our way over to the room where saw a old man yelling at some girl. I quickly caught a glimpse of her and knew exactly who it was.

"Korra!?" I shouted.

"Athyna?" she responded. But both of our attention was back on the old man.

"I'm taking you to security." the man yelled.

"Its alright Toza she's with us." Bolin quickly remarked.

"Yeah. She's with us." I just followed Bolins lead.

"Were together."

"Well not together, together. More like firends." korra explained.

"Right friends, I didnt mean to imply."

"You definitely implied it." I reassured.

"I don't care what ya are. I got work to do." the man declared as he walked off.

We made our way out of the gym and stopped at the entry.

"Thanks for saving me." Korra renounced.

"Of course." iIexclaimed. "So what exactly are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same question. I see your mom finally let you off that island, huh."

"Yeah, you could say that." I just scratched the back of my neck.

"So whos this?"

"I'm Bolin." he commented. "I suppose your here to watch the match, well let me show you the best place to watch."
