"Lessia! Hurry up, we need to go!" I looked at my phone, seeing the time. 2:35pm

We got a couple more weeks until the talent show, which is also the same week as graduation. Principle Jones decided to use the talent show as a senior celebration, so now we have to do a big finale with the whole graduating class plus previous graduating classes.

That's what today's rehearsal is about but us being the coordinators, we'd look bad if we're late.

"I'm coming! I gotta get the sheet music and lyric sheets damn!" 

I rolled my eyes and sighed, plopping down on the couch looking at my phone again. 2:50pm

"Alessia! We need to be at the school at 3:00, it's already 2:50!"

"Here I come!"

I heard her run down the stairs. I got up and walked towards the front door but ran when I saw her trip and fall, dropping the paper all over the place.

"You okay Lessia?" I helped her up then picked up the fallen sheets and handed them to her.

She grabbed them and opened the door, running out "Yeah yeah, I'm fine let's go!"

I held my hand out "Keys!" 

She groaned and ran back to me, handing me her house keys.

I chuckled, locking up the house.

I ran to the car and got in, turning the ignition on. "You ready?" "Yep. let's do it"

I grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it as I pulled off.

We walked in the auditorium at 3 on the dot. 

Everybody was in they own little conversations, while Stevie was on the piano.

"Songbird! Dancing Machine! What's Happening!"

Me and Alessia laughed, walking up to the stage. "Hey Wonder!"

I walked over to him and shook his hand while Alessia hugged him. "Whatcha working on man?"

Stevie smiled while sliding his hand over the keys "Just a lil something something for the show. Oh! Imma need you and the brothas Mike"

I nodded, patting his back "I got you Stevie"

I walked over to Alessia, wrapping my arm around her shoulder. She turned and smiled at me "You ready?" I nodded and kissed her cheek causing her to blush.

She cleared her throat "I NEED EVERYBODY IN THE FRONT PLEASE AND THANK YOU!"

I watched as everybody scurried to the front, me and Alessia sat at the edge of the stage. I held my hand out and helped Stevie down next to me.

"Okay, Michael's gonna do a roll call and I'll hand out the music, then we'll get started."

Alessia handed me the call list as I helped her down from the stage.

"Okay here we go, and if I say your name wrong, I'm sorry" I called out, everybody nodded.

I cleared my throat. "Alessia's here.....um Ayleo!" "Wassup!"

"Aaliyah" "Over Here!"

"Brookelyn!" "Right here"

"China!" Silence. I crossed her name off and kept going.

"D'ajah!" "Here I am!"

"Winnie!" "Here!"

Twenty-two names later......

"And Lastly, Tiana?" "Right here honey!"  I looked up in shock to see Mrs.Raymon's daughter walked up with a smile, she hugged me. 

"How you doing suga?"

I smiled "i'm good, I ain't know you was gonna be here"

She chuckled "Well it was mama's idea but hey, I was done with all my schooling for the semester so why not" She shrugged causing me to laugh. "Well Alessia's gonna e excited to see you"

"I bet, where is she anyways?" She asked, looking around.

"I think her and Tito went to get the risers.....oh there they are"

I pointed towards backstage where Alessia and Tito struggled to get the risers on the stage.

Me and Tiana got up and helped them set up.

Alessia sighed "Thank you T" 

"No problem A!" He said, walkin back to his seat with Marlon and Winnie.

Alessia walked over to us and smiled "Hey Mikey, hey Tiana" Then she did a double check. Tiana?..... TIANA!" 

She ran and jumped into Tiana's arms grinning like a fool.

 Tiana giggled "I missed you too Babyface"

Alessia got down and smiled "How long you been here? Let me guess, Mrs. Raymon sent you?" "Just got here and yeah she did" me and Tiana giggled while Alessia shook her head "She's something else"

"Yes she is, but don't let me distract you. Yall do yah thing" Tiana kissed us on our foreheads and walked back to the first row.

Alessia clapped to get everyone's attention. "Okay! I need everybody on the risers. Sopranos first bottom row, Altos second row and Tenors last top two row! Everybody, Hustle hustle!"

Everybody got in there spots, I had to move some around because they didn't know which was which. Once everybody was together, Stevie sat at the piano and ran his finger across the keys.

"Okay Songbird, Dancing Machine what we singing?"

I walked over to him and handed him a music and lyric sheet with the Braille on them.

It took him a minute to get it down but once he did, he smiled. "Ouuuu, I like this!"

Me and Alessia smiled "Great Wonder, everybody agree?" Alessia asked.

Everybody smiled and murmured "Yes"

I smiled "Okay let it started.

While I helped the choir with range, riffs and notes, Alessia helped Stevie and the band with the tempo and rhythm.

We ended up finishing in perfect time.
