It's been a couple weeks since me and Michael helped Stevie with his song.

I haven't heard anything from Stevie about the song so I don't know if it went good or bad but we were all able to play it for our families and the neighborhood at a block party a few days ago and we got a good reaction from them so it has to be good.

But anyways, right now i was getting ready for Janet's birthday sleepover. I grabbed my mint green and baby blue striped  duffel bag and packed at least six outfits. Two for the weekend, two for school and two as pajamas, I grabbed two pairs of socks and a pair of my fuzzy socks along with bras and underwear.

*Ding*

My phone flashed getting a notification. I checked seeing a text from Janet.

JJ🍓💛👶🏽- I found out that Jermaine and Tito are going on a school trip for basketball and LaToya's staying at a friend's house.

JJ🍓💛👶🏽- So it's just me, you randy, marlon and Michael. That okay?

I smiled, so I get to spend the weekend with my favorite people. Now don't get me wrong, I got nothing against Jermaine, LaToya and Tito. Me and Tito are cool but them other two, we've had issues since the day we met but I'm not gonna think about that.

-that's cool with me, gimme till 12:35 and I'll be out

I looked at the time. 10:03am. I threw my phone on my bed and closed my duffle bag, putting by my door next to my guitar.

I looked through my draws, finding a yellow body towel and matching face towel them walked to my bathroom and turned the shower on. I laid the towels on the sink and went to closed the door.

"Alessia!"

I leaned against the doorframe.

"Yeah mama!?"

"Come down here please!"

I groaned and ran to grab my robe, tying it tight to my body and ran down the stairs.

"Ma?"

"Down here!"

I heard a lotta noice coming from the garage, I walked down the steps just to have a bandana over my eyes.

"Wha- mama what's going on? What's this?"

I felt her grab my hand.

"You've been working so hard at school and the shop, you've helped pay bills knowing damn well i ain't want you to, plus you've taken care of me during my chemo. I wanted to thank for everything, now I know you're gonna say I don't need to thank you or give you anything but just remember I wanted to do this for my babygirl"

We stopped and i heard a jingling sound.

"Suprise!"

I snatched the bandana off and saw a Cherry Red 2020 Ford Escape.

I gasped with tears in my eyes.

"M-mama? Oh my god! I-I don't, wooow OH MY GOD!!!"

I turned around seeing her with tears in her eyes and keys in her hand. "Here you go babygirl"

I pulled her into a hug and sobbed in her chest. "T-thank you m-mama!"

"Your welcome baby! Now I know you'll be across the street at Miss Katherine's house this weekend but I want you to take the car. Take Janet, LaToya, Tito, anyone you want...Hell! Take Michael and just have fun okay?"

I giggled and rolled my eyes, anytime she has a chance, she'll always mention Michael.

"Yes mama"

She smiled and kissed my cheek and walked out the garage, leaving me with my brand new car. Eeek! Imma have fun with this!

I ran back upstairs to my room and looked at the time 10:35am.
I got two hours.

I walked back to my bathroom and took my shower, I also washed my hair too.

After, I lotioned up my body, put my bra and underwear on and got dressed in a white and black strped shirt that say "Love Live Laugh" on it, ripped light blue jeans and all white chucks.

I combed out my wet curly hair and grabbed a couple hair ties.

I grabbed my bag, guitar, purse and backpack.

I walked downstairs and out the door to see my car in the drive way and mama packing hers up.

"Mama, where you going?"

She shut her trunk and grabbed my guitar, putting it in the trunk of my car.

"The school called saying they needed a nother guardian for the trip so I decided to go since you'd be at the Jacksons. I'll only be gone for three days so I'll be back when you'll be"

I nodded as i put the rest of my things in my car. "Well have a safe trip mama and wish Jermaine and Tito good luck for me"

She nodded "I will, have fun baby. Love you"

"You too mama, love you too"

I watched as she got in her car, waving to me as she pulled off.

I got in my car and did the same, pulling into the Jacksons long driveway.

I lokked through all the features in my car, seeing that my phone was connected.

I press the call button on the stirring wheel, hearing a beeping noice. "Call JJ" "Calling JJ"

I heard it ring then a click.

-almost, I gotta get something first, it's a surprise

I heard her hang up. I waited a couple minutes then started hunting the horn.

*Beep Beep Beeeeeeep!*

I got out my car and sat on the hood.

The front door opened revealing Janet, Marlon and Michael.

"OH MY GOD LESSIA!"

Janet ran towards me and started at the car.

"Daaamn lessia, nice ride!" Marlon said with a smirk on his face.

"This yours?"  Michael asked

I nodded and smiled. "Yep she's alll mine. Mama got it for me as a 'Thank you for everything you do for me' typa gift."

Marlon whistled as he walked around my car, admiring it. "This the 2020 Escape?"

I nodded. "Yep!"

"You just get it today?"

I nodded again. "Yea huh! Yall wanna take it for test drive?" I asked jingling the keys in my hand.

They all nodded.

I smiled "Well let's go!"
