To society, I thank you for following the rules
For legalizing marijuana, but closing down schools
I guess all in all we are a bunch of fools
I sit here pent up in my house in frustration
At all the problems, the discrimination
The issues that are severe aren't seeming to be solved
Our problems aren't being resolvedI ponder the questions of life in my small house
I wonder if it would be better if I knew how to be as quiet as a mouse
I think of the tyranny and the trouble
How it has seemed to doubleLike a flightless bird trapped in a cage
Every day I seem to age
Like a chapter on a page
Time keeps turning
But we don't seem to be learning
We just continue earning
Our keep
As we will off to sleep
I wonder how one could, knowing what's on the news
No wonder some have the blues
We were missing all the clues- bloodu out🎤
