Hey there! I know this was uploaded a day later than it's supposed to be, so I'm so so very sorry to any readers who might've been waiting!😖
I'm personally kinda sad that I broke off my personal streak of uploading everyday, but well, as we are nearing the end of the book, it took me a real longer time to write this chapter. Though tough and tiring, I try to enjoy it. Hope you'll like this one.
Enjoy!

( P.S. Buckle up! It's a long chapter 😉 hehe )

Chapter 24 | Fueling Fury

When the boss took me in, I was so grateful. He pulled me out from a lot of darkness and showed me that life does give second chances. I admired him and looked up to him as my role model.

I remember thinking I would even take a bullet for him.

But now that I am facing the piercing truth of who he really is, it hurts. His betrayal pains me so much than that of an enemy because he was someone I wholeheartedly gave my trust to. He tricked me, used me, and even enjoyed it. How could I be so blind?

Turns out he's the one behind the trigger.

So all this time, he was the mafia boss? He wanted to pin his dirty work on Dean as revenge?

Oh my god. How am I supposed to wrap my head around this?

That bitch of a boss then mentions he's had the help of someone 'so dear'. Who he calls for to come in shocks every bone in Dean and I.

"Ah, Cas, my good friend." The boss ushers him closer to him.

Dean stomps his feet, snarling, "Cas, get away from that jackass!"

"You don't get it, do you?" The boss threw his head back in laughter, "He's my accomplice you, twat!"

"What?"

"You know the evidences I said that was planted in your home? Yeah, I got Cas over here to do it. He's my obedient little pet."

Dean stared at the trench-coated man wide-eyed, "Cas, what have you done?"

"What had to be done."

"But-but why?"

"Because I'm so tired of your crap, Dean." Cas snaps, "You treat me like shit. You act as if I don't matter!"

Dean shook his head in disbelief, "No. No no no, this isn't you, Cas."

"How would you know? You've never been a friend."

"Since—since when?" Dean asks as he swallows hard.

"What?"

"Since when did you start working with this douche?"

"Ooh, ooh! I'll answer that question!" The boss hollers, waving his hand around excitedly.

"Ro told me that he had 'a lot of tension' towards you. So I thought, why not put that into my advantage you know? So when you guys decided to fuck around at Australia, I scouted him. I told him about my plans and boom! Days later we're into our own little mission."

Oh my god. That meant he and the boss were watching me all this time! Everything, from the beach, our drinking, and at Dean's car!

I looked over to Dean worriedly. He didn't look like he was taking it well. Of course he wasn't, Ro. They were good friends since way back.
