Awkward Introductions

So this sword above me is percy's EVENTUAL sword 'Karito', which means 'Reaper' in Japanese. I don't really have a major development for this chapter, so it's mostly a filler, but a chapter none the less. Also congrats to this story for making top twenty on Wattpad for the tag, 'mattmurdock'. Woohoo! Ok here.

After Agent Madani save the boy from the thugs, and taken him to the promised ice cream, she'd learned that his name was Percy. She's also learned that he was an eight year old orphan who became blind in the accident that killed his parents. After she's learned he was without a guardian, she'd asked him if it was ok for her to become his legal guardian. He'd said yes, of course. Over the seven years he lived with Miss Madani, she eventually asked if she could legally adopt him. He was ten when that happened. Of course, he said yes, so now he had a new mother. (Percy has the earth powers in him, but they haven't manifested yet. When they do, think Toph from Avatar: The Last Air Bender)When Percy was 13, he was out on a walk, simply for the sake of it. Meanwhile, Matt Murdock was on his way to his house after a case at the court house. As he made his way through the concrete jungle, he heard the familiar tap tap tap being rapidly repeated in front of him. He easily noticed, due to his enhanced senses, that he was coming towards him. Matt decided to bump into him slightly, if not simply to strike up a conversation. And from that moment, Percy Madani had found his surrogate father figure, whether either of them knew it or not.

So now here we are in the present, with Percy being homeschooled as it was easier for him and his mother. He'd had Matt meet his mother sometime when he was fourteen. He chuckled slightly as he remembered their first encounter. He continued to do his schoolwork, but got lost in a memory.
*Flashback*
Percy was nervous. He had asked Matt to come to his party at his mother's apartment, as it was his birthday.(15th)Matt has been hesitant when he learned that his son in everything but blood had lived with his single adoptive mother. Nonetheless, he eventually caved. Percy was knocked out of his thoughts as there was a knock at the door of their apartment. He turned his head up and cocked it to the side, so he could hear who was at the door. A grin spread on his face as he realized it was Matt. He quickly got up from his spot on the couch to greet his surrogate father. Before he could, however, his mother beat him to the door with a sideways glance and a smirk. She could tell he was nervous. She opened the door, and there stood a man that could only be described as(ok before I go any further I need to know if you guys was to see Matt/Madani or not. They're technically his parents so tell me your opinions in the comments)unique. Seriously, with the trench coat and the suit, he looked like a normal lawyer. However, if you looked closer you would see weird things. Like how he wore these weird circular sunglasses with red lenses. Or how he never really looked at you when he spoke.

"Oh, umm...hello. Are you...Dinah Madani, Percy's mother?" The man asked. "Umm...yes, I am. Who are you? No offense." She responded. "Mom, this is the man I was telling you about. Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer who helped me with my blindness?" Percy said, slowly. His mother said," Oh, yes. Yes, you did. How rude of me, come in come in. We were just about to cut the cake." Percy smiled warmly at his mother's friendliness. Matt responded by saying," Oh, well I just stopped by to give Percy his gift. I have a case to get to down at the court house. Besides, I wouldn't want to intrude." Dinah, persuasive as ever, tried to offer again, "Are you sure? You're sure you can't stay for just one slice?" Matt politely declined once again, and said," I have to politely decline, unfortunately. I really have to get to the court house. I'm pressed for time as is." "Well, alright then. I'll go get the cake ready." Percy's mom said. When Matt nodded with a smile, she lightly blushed, turned, and walked to the kitchen. Matt looked down at Percy and said, " Ahh, c'mon, cheer up. I'll see you tomorrow and then whenever you have another lesson, okay?" Percy nodded, knowing Matt could hear him do it. "Alright, time for presents!" Matt said excitedly. Percy grinned widely at that. Matt whipped out what looked like a curved stick wrapped in soft brown sheets and small rope. Not that they could see it, anyway. Matt put it in Percy's waiting hands, and said, " I'll teach you how to use that soon, ok?" Percy nodded, still trying to figure out what it was. A sword of some kind, obviously. "You can call it what you want, but it's original owner named it Karito, which means-" "-Reaper" Percy said, smirking. He pulled something else out and said," And these are the first pair of glasses I owned after I became blind. They're yours now." Percy looked shocked. "Really?!" He asked/yelled. Matt chuckled, " Yes, really Percy. Ok buddy, I have to go now. Alright?" Percy looked down and nodded sadly. Matt patted his shoulder and said, " Alright, Percy. See you later, bud." And just like that, he was gone. 'For the rest of the day, quit being so melodramatic!' Percy told himself. And then his mom came out with a small cake. Due to his recent lessons with Matt, he could smell incredibly well now. His face pulled into a grin as he smelled the blue food coloring. 'Just how I like it.' He thought.

Hey guys. Ok so this turned from a filler into a real chapter. I mean 1005 words. Jeez. Not that many, but still. I was going to have Dinah give Percy a gun or pepper spray, but I thought it wouldn't make sense because he's blind. So yeah. His mom doesn't know he can smell and hear really well. She just thinks that Percy can get around easier now. Aight, deuces, comment, rate.

Kanye is going to have his own whatever the stupid thing's called. A party? Whatever. 🤷‍♂️ Ok the first one is insane and the second one is hilarious.
