Couldn't Wait!!

Piper's POV
Today was the day we returned to school. Now I know what you're thinking, it's only September 1st but I attended an all girls boarding school so we return early as to get used to the school again. It had been a long summer and I couldn't wait to see the girls again. I had three best friends and even though I'd seen them a few times throughout the summer, it had been nearly 2 weeks since I'd last seen any of them but we'd texted a lot so it wasn't too bad. I'd packed a few days earlier as to make it easier on the day. I had two suitcases (enough clothes to last all of term), a shoulder bag and a huge makeup box........a girls got to be prepared.

I got up and put on a black and white Guns 'N' Roses shirt, some grey skinny jeans, and black converse. I tied a red, grey and white plaid shirt around my waist and sat down at my desk. I put on my Hogwarts Crest necklace and infinity ring, curled my hair and did natural make-up. I grabbed my knee-length shoulder bag with essentials in, one suitcase and make-up box and lugged them downstairs. I then ran back up the stairs and grabbed my other suitcase and took that one downstairs. I took my phone and beats out my shoulder bag and plugged them in. I put on Do It Now Remeber It Later by Sleeping With Sirens and walked into the kitchen. As soon as I did, Deefer (my dog) jumped up at me. I groaned and stroked his head. He was a labradoodle and so he had (slightly) curly hair on his head and straight hair on his body.
"Alright Dee, get down!" I said and I sat at the kitchen table.
Just then my mum came over and started speaking to be but I told her I couldn't hear her because of the music. I closed my eyes and sat back to relax but my music suddenly stopped. I sat up and saw my mum holding my phone in one hand and the end of the wire to my headphones in another.
"I said can you feed Deefer for me please while I go get your brother up!?" She said slightly ticked off. I decided to push her even further.
"Isn't it bad enough you're abandoning me to boarding school and now you're making me do house work during the little time I have at home?!?!?!?" I fake questioned.
"Don't play that card with me Piper!" she said and walked out the kitchen.
I groaned but did as she asked. I put my music on out loud this time and started singing as I fed the dog.
"Don't you want to get to the station dry?" my dad asked.
"Oh haha!" I said mockingly.
"Seriously though, what is this rubbish!?" He asked.
"Sleeping with sirens is not rubbish!!" I gasped.
"Well.......you like it, so it must be!" he mocked.
"I like stuff you like are you calling all that rubbish?" I challenged.
"Ah, but I'm the one that showed you those TV shows or bands or movies," he challenged right back.
"I liked Huger Games and Divergent first!" I said and stuck my tongue out.
I then gave Dee his food and went into the front room and saw my mum and brother.
"Hi Ellie!" He tried to say.
"Hi Josh! Are we friends today?" I spoke and signed to him.
"Uuummmmmmm..........nope.....yep!" He said and he gave me a hug.
"Have you got everything?" My mum questioned.
"Yes."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!" I rolled my eyes, she always does this.
"Have you got spare clothes?"
"No mum, I'm taking these clothes I'm wearing right now and my other bags are empty!" I said.
"Have you got money?"
"Yes,"
"Chargers?"
"You really think I'm going to leave the house without my chargers?" I asked.
"fair point. Wash stuff?"
"Yes!"
"Sun cream?"
"It's the middle of autumn!" I told her.
"You can never be too careful"
"It's the middle of autumn in Britain, I think I'll be fine! Plus I've never been sun burnt or sun tanned in my life!"
"Okay, you have everything!" She said and held her hands up in defence.
"Mum," I said.
"Yes darling,"
"It's nearly half seven!" I told her.
"God! Josh, dressed now!" She yelled and walked out leaving me to myself.
It was just another morning to the first day back and I couldn't wait!!
