Sadie's POV
I woke up and jumped straight in the shower as I had no time to waste that morning. When I got out I towel dried my hair until it was just slightly damp. I put on a white dress which turned peach near the bottom. I also put on a weaved brown leather belt and slipped on one of my denim jackets. I then decided to straighten my chestnut hair but I curled my side fringe. I then put on some natural makeup and put on my white vans. Just then I heard a knock at my door.
"Mum and dad said to hurry up," my older sister Brooke said and left.
"I'll be two minutes!" I yelled after her.
"Don't care!" She screamed back.
I rolled my eyes but grabbe my little bag containing my phone, purse, headphones, mascara, eyeliner, lipgloss, keys and ticket. I ran down the stairs and last my many bags which my dad had already brought down.As I walked into the kitchen I saw my mum leaning against the counter with a cup in between both hands and my dad stood opposite her at the cooker flipping pancakes. Brooke was sat on a high stool at the large table annoying Jacob (my brother) whilst he played Pokémon on his DS. I smiled at the sight of my whole family together. Just then my dad turned around to place some pancakes on a plate and saw me.
"Here's the person in question!" he chuckled.
"Huh?" I questioned, not understanding.
"Didn't you just hear us seeing as you must have been stood there for a good few minutes?" He asked me curiously.
"I must have zoned out," I explained. "What did you say?"
"We were just discussing how much we're going to miss you darling!" my mum said and I took a seat on the other side of Jacob.
"Now eat up as you've got a long journey ahead of you!" my mum said.
"Stop babying me! This is one thing I'm not going to miss about being away from home fore three months at boarding school!" I said and started wolfing downy pancakes.Half an hour later my mum called me from the front room. "You want to start packing up the car darling, we'll be leaving soon?!" She asked.
"Sure thing mum, can I have the car keys?" I asked and she gave me them. I walked into the hallway and grabbed two of my duffel bags.
As I walked to the car I struggled to open it when Celeste came over and helped me. Celeste was my best friend outside of school and not including the others. I'd known her since I was 3/4 years old. She was a tall girl with long hair the same colour as mine. She was a huge troublemaker and obsessed with any boy she saw and was constant,y getting me grounded. She unlocked the car for me then took one of the duffel bags out of my hand and placed it in the boot of the car.
"Hi Celeste!" I said and we hugged.
"Hi Sade, long time no see!" she said.
"Well, that's what you get when you manage to get us both grounded for two weeks!" I said and we both laughed. "wait, I thought you were still grounded?" I questioned.
"I am," she shrugged. "Climbed out my window and snuck out. My parents won't even notice seeing as it's 8:30am!" she moaned.
"Why did you sneak out then?" I laughed.
"To say good bye of course, I couldn't let you leave without saying goodbye!" She said in a 'duh' tone of voice.
"Haha, wait here I'm just going to get my other bags!" I said and ran back to the house. I gabbed my mini suitcase and satchel and joined Celeste again.
"Jesus woman! How many bags do you need? You're only going for three months!" She cried.
"Hey, you can never have too many clothes, Oh My God!!" I yelled.
"What?!?!?!?" Celeste questioned, looking worried as hell.
"I sound like Kailey!" I said.
"I thought you just realised you'd been shot or something. I really need to meet these boarding school friends of yours, you always talk about them!" She said.
"What's the matter? Is Lesty jealous that I have other best friends beside her?" I said in a baby voice.
"No, I just think any friend of yours is a friend of mine!" She corrected.
"I'd say the same about your friends but I've met a few and here not my type of people!" I said.
"You mean fun?" She mocked.
"I can be fun!!" I defended but she just laughed. "I can!" I sulked.
"Awwww, I'm sorry Sade. Fwends?" She asked jokingly.
"Bwest fwends!" I said and we laughed.
"Sorry babe but I gotta get back, Jaden will be getting up soon and if he notices I'm gone he'll tell my mum!" She said.
"To be fair, he is your - practically - step dad so he should tell your mum!" I told her.
"Whatever!" She said and gave me a huge hug. "Don't forget to text me whenever you can and call at least once a week!" She warned.
"Yes mum, I promise!" I said and saluted. We then laughed again and she ran home.
As I got in the front door I got a text.
To Sadie;
From Celeste;
Oops, I got busted! I forgot to go round back and I went straight through front door and got caught! I'm grounded for another week!
I laughed at my best friend and put my phone away. I was going to miss Celeste but at the same time I couldn't wait to see the others!!
