"Bring your sister to school day"
Third Person's POV
"Kei! Wait a minute!"
Akiteru softly called as his brother was about to leave the household. He quietly sprinted down the stairs, while carrying a sleeping blonde little girl in his arms, with a small blue backpack strap on her back. Tsukishima's face soften for a second when he saw the peaceful face of the sleeping girl, before he furrowed his eyebrows and waited for his brother's explanation.
"Will you bring Ki-chan today with you? No one can watch over her today. I have something urgent to take care off" Tsukishima's eyes widened in shock at the request but then it morphed into a frown.
"Then why don't you bring her with you?" He suggested, not liking the idea of bringing his little sister to Karasuno.
"I can't. Come on Kei, Just for today!" Akiteru softly pleaded being careful not to wake up his sister.
"No. And besides, I don't think I'll be able to watch her since we'll be busy with practice" He reasoned.
Don't get him wrong. It's not like he hates his little sister or he thinks it's a burden. He just doesn't like to have the Karasuno volleyball team to find out that he has a little sister, and partly, he's just being overprotective.
Tsukishima is awfully aware that he secretly has a soft spot for his little sister. And he is a hundred percent sure that he will be exposed when he brought her with him. Thinking about how his team mates will tease him for being such a softie makes him internally scoff in irritation.
"I guess I'll just leave her again with Hinoe-san..." He heard his brother said after a sigh. His eyes flicked towards Akiteru, and he gave him a scrutinizing stare.
"What do you mean again? And who's Hinoe-san?" He seriously asked his brother who casually glanced back at him.
"The old man that lives across the street. I've left her there last time when Mom wasn't here and I was suddenly called at my part time job..." he explained to him making Tsukishima narrow his eyes at his brother with a disapproving look.
Akiteru nervously smiled at his brother's reaction. Even though he is older, he sometimes can't help but cower in his stern and annoyed look.
'Why is he looking at me like that?!' He internally screeched as he watched his silent brother.
The tense atmosphere was suddenly disturbed when the doorbell suddenly rang. Tsukishima's narrowed eyes suddenly relaxed as he faced the door. He made a small sigh and faced his brother.
"That must be Yamaguchi. I'll be going now..."he bid and Akiteru just nodded and smiled at his brother.
"Sure. Take care..."
Tsukishima then got into his shoes and finally turned towards the main door. He twisted the door knob opened and he was finally greeted by his smiling childhood friend. Yamaguchi gave him a bright smile and Tsukishima just monotonously greeted him.
"Let's go..." He dryly stated and Yamaguchi nodded.
As they started to walk away from the house, Tsukishima can't help but feel worried and guilty. His eyebrows furrowed as he tried to ignore his feelings. He suddenly stop in his tracks, confusing the freckled teen beside him. He made a frustrated sigh and closed his eyes.
