CAMERON'S POV

I woke up from the first night of sleep. It was about 12:30 pm already. I didn't want to get up. I didn't want to face the world. I didn't want to face the truth.

I rolled on my side and checked my phone. I hadn't since that day. I had 1,498 messages, 708 missed calls, 349 voicemails, and 206 other notifications. I didn't read the messages, but I clicked each one so it would show as "read." I got a new text from Eleanor just as I was about to turn it off.

From: Eleanor by best friend since forev! <3

Hey hun, I coming over in 15 minutes. I don't care if you don't let me in, I'll find a way. We need to talk.

...and I have ice-cream.

I would have ignored the text if it wasn't for the last part. If I had had ice-cream this week, that would be the only thing I would've eaten.

Right on time, Eleanor knocked on the front door. I contemplated whether to answer it or not. I don't want to face anything. Not now, not ever. But, Eleanor was my best friend since preschool. She knew everything about me, and I knew everything about her. She wouldn't hurt me. But thinking about it hurt.

I finally rose after five minutes of knocking to open the door.

"Cam!" She said in a calming tone. If it had been any of my other friends, they would have been squealing and that's definitely something I can't handle right now. Eleanor dropped a bag to hug me that I didn't return. She picked up her bag and followed me inside. We sat down on the couch and she started to pull the things out of her bag. 5 different flavors of ice-cream (which included Half-Baked, my favorite), 3 of my favorite movies, bags of popcorn, and a big box with wrapping paper and a bow.

"I'm going to let you do the talking first." Eleanor said looking into my eyes. The room was dark but light came from the restroom.

I looked down at my hands.

"Fine. Here's your guidelines: who, what, where, when, why? Oh, and your car came!" She said.

"Him." I burst into tears. She comforted me. She was confused. Eleanor didn't know what had happened. She probably thought that I missed him or something. So I told her. What, where, when, and why. She hugged me.

"Cameron, that's..that's..." She didn't finish her sentence. I didn't know what it was either. There wasn't a feeling or emotion for it. All it was was a million painful memories coming back to life.

Eleanor got a spoon from the kitchen and opened the Half-Baked. I dug in. After I finished, Eleanor grabbed my hands, and was about to give me a speech. Then she saw the cuts. She gasped, then started crying.

"Cam," she breathed between sobs, "why? I know this hurts a lot for you but seeing you do something like this to yourself hurts not only yourself but others too!" She froze then lifted up my shirt to see if I cut there too. But she didn't see cuts, she saw my ribs. "CAMERON!" Tears rushed down her face, and mine too. She was disappointed and I was ashamed. "You starved yourself?! That's a disease you know?! I just can't.. I don't even...!" She put her face in her hands. After a couple minutes she looked back up at me.

"You can NEVER, and I mean NEVER do something like this," she pointed at my cuts and my rib cage, "ever again. You understand me?" I nodded.

"I'm..I'm sorry Eleanor." I blurted and burst into tears once again.

"Cam, listen. I know this isn't exactly ideal but if you run into him again, you have to be strong. All those memories that will come back to life? Make them so you don't have feelings about them anymore. You haven't been with a guy since him and now it's time to move on. You have to face the world. You can't just stay like this! Your a strong independent woman who is capable of just about anything. Now I need you to go back out there and put this back together. Understand?" She lectured.

"Okay." I replied.

"I'll meet you at the cafe in a hour. Love you, Cam! Bye!" She kissed my cheek and left.

How was I ever going to put myself back together?

••••

I didn't think I had a choice of going to meet Eleanor or not, I dragged myself there. I sat down at the table she was at and she handed me a menu.

"Your getting...everything." She said looking at me. I managed a dry laugh.

The waiter came, "Ready to order?"

"Yes," Eleanor said, "we'll have the pancakes, the French-toast, hash-browns, eggs, bacon, sausage, tea, and some juice."

The waiter looked at her, "Is there more coming...?"

"No ma'am." Eleanor replied as seriously as she could.

"Okay... Your food will come soon..." And she awkwardly left. About five minutes later, our table was filled with food.

"You first!" Eleanor said. I filled my plate. When I first smelt the food, I remember how hungry I had been. Eleanor then filled hers up.

"I want to thank you, Eleanor. I couldn't have asked for a better friend. I love you." I said looking at her. I meant it. She was always there for me and I don't know what I would do without her.

"Aww, Cam! You know I'm there for you! But we need to figure this out first. Now that he's here, I wouldn't doubt that he'll come back. So you need to face it. Maybe the best thing will be to talk to him. I know, I know, that's not something your willing to do but it may be the best for you. Do something that you really love. Like singing and songwriting! That's perfect. You love to do that!" She said.

"I loved it." I corrected her. "I'm not going to talk to him and I'm definitely not going to sing or write a song." Eleanor was the only one I had told about me singing. Niall introduced it to me. We always wrote songs together and sang them.

After we were done, the check came. It was £87.

"It's on me. But you have to promise to go back to the old Cam. And please think about what I have to say." Eleanor grabbed my hand and kissed my cheek goodbye.

Screw It. I'll just post a ton of chapters today. PLEASE LEAVVE COMMENTSSSSS
