CAMERON'S POV

I looked in the mirror and saw a different girl. She looked tired, sick, pale, had no energy and looked sad. She had bags under her eyes and looked scrawny.  I washed my face with my pore opening face wash. I then took a shower doing my regular routine twice. I got out, got dressed in one of my favorite outfits. My black skull blouse with my gradient high wasted shorts and my black Steve Maden wedges. I applied twice the amount of makeup to cover up my new self and tried not to make myself look fake. Although I wish I was fake. I wouldn't have feelings and I wouldn't have to deal with this. Why me? Why did I have to have a fling with him? I looked in my eyes in the mirror.

"Oh come on Cam, it wasn't just a fling. It was so much more than that and you know that too." I thought to myself.

I got my bag and shoved the things I would need for the day. I looked outside and saw it was raining. Great. I ran back upstairs and changed into my white jeans and a dark green oversized sweater and put on some brown combat boots. It wasn't the best outfit, but it was the first warm thing I saw an I was running late.

I ran to the car with my bag above my head keeping my hair and makeup from getting soaked. I jumped into the car and slammed the door. I backed out, turned on the windshield wipers and pumped up the music.

The rain didn't help my perspective of the day. I was ready to go back to normal and the weather wasn't really helping my enthusiasm. This was just the start of another bad day.

I walked in the door of TopShop and Claire greeted me with my coffee. "Your regular, Cam. They want you to go to the meeting room upstairs immediately." She smiled. I gave her an unsure look, "Nothing bad." She said.

I was glad that she was treating me like nothing happened. I hope everyone else does too. That would make things so much easier. Maybe the day wouldn't be to bad after all.

I opened the door to the meeting room and the table sat all my co-workers and my boss.

"Hello Cam!" My boss, Trisha said.

"Hi..!" I awkwardly sat down.

"Okay. Now that we are all here, we can start!"

I looked around confused. Nate, my co-worker whispered, "It's the first Sunday of October."

"Shit!" I thought. The first Sunday of October is always promotions day. I wasn't moving up obviously due to my "absence."

I looked around while Trisha talked about how successful the year had been. I noticed Ben, Jason's boyfriend sitting across from me. I smiled an waved at him and he did the same to me.

"Okay we'll go from top to bottom. Ben McQuirsy from Intern Assistant to Cashier. Regahn Nolson from Intern Assistant to Dressing Room helper." Trisha went on. I gave Ben a thumbs up congratulations. After about 20 minutes, my level came up and I was all ears to hear my name get skipped.

"Nate Arpound from Assistant Manager to Manager." Trisha announced. Shit. I lost my job. The day didn't go so well after all.

"And lastly, Claire Denchins from Secretary of managers to Secretary-Treasurer. Congrats to all! Now get to work with those new jobs!" Trisha finished. I sat in my seat and looked down. I worked so hard to get where I am and I let it go just because of him. I felt a hand pat my shoulder as I was about to cry.

"And you, I wanted to talk to separately." It was Trisha's voice. She was probably here to say I lost my job. I gulped and prepared for the worst. "You have been such an amazing worker these past few years. From model, to intern, and now up to model and manager and designer. But you've done your time in these areas and its time for you to move on."
